Good lad he may be, but I can't forget his actions and behaviour at Inverness when he booked almost our entire team, and sent off Çiftçi accusing him of grabbing the ass. ref. by the throat, which was clearly untrue.
I think he didn't realise United had cameras on the stand side which showed Nadir to be falsely accused.
Be better with Dennis Clancy.
Bet that gets a few of you wicki-ing
If he has a wicki...

Suspect it was the ass. ref's word that got him sent off.

Haha! I ken Dennis or do you mean older Dennis? Some boy young Dennis. Is he still alive? I played with him for Dundee West.
Lol, just realized you might be meaning the singer and not the boy I know from st Mary's

Think he will go with 4 at the back Smith if hes fit if not Freeman Edwards Reynolds Robson.
No sure if Shankland fit enough to start of will be a last half hour from him.
Not expecting anything today but hopefully we can nick atleast a point.

Is Edwards fit now?
Edwards ok as far as we know.
Prediction? It's got an awfie 2-0 feel about it.

Anything's a bonus, but I'm going to go for the heart ruling over common sense and say 2-1 to United.

That was awful.
Can't take any positives from that today.
They hammered us without even moving out of 1st gear.
Benji kept it from being 6 or 7.
Nowhere near good enough and if we don't get our finger out and sign the players in the positions we are crying out for then we will almost certainly be in danger of being in a relegation dog fight.

Well that was absolute shite.
Benji prevented it being double figures. Edwards all over the place. So many misplaced passes all over the pitch. Were wide open with one through ball time and time again. Created nothing.
Need signings now or we’ll be straight back down.

Phucking gutted. No by the defeat itself, but the manner of it.
We were basically outplayed. We had 1 shot on target I think. I just didna think that the The demeanor of the team looked right. Clark hardly got enough oe the ba (there were 2 occasions when he was right in front of goal and Harkes shoulda passed to him, but Harkes fired off 2 poor attempts instead). Shanks hardly got any oe the ba. The passing was woeful and our defending needs improvement. But for Benji, it coulda been worse.
One good thing was watching the gehm on an illegal streaming site so they chunts never got a cent aff me.

Surely that just showed us what we already know. There is a massive gulf in class between The Rangers & Utd. We are in a battle to stay in this league, getting a good kickin away at the potential Champions is not a sign for histreonics . The poorer sides get pumped in Glasgow that's the SPFL.

Same
and
same Bill.
The latter is the only slight positive i can take from today. Though how fucking annoying was thon Geordie commentator?

Nothing to add that hasn’t been said. Rey disappointed in manner of defeat. Absolutely shat ourself on the ball. No composure and passing was amateur level. Thought powers was probably our best player in the first half in terms of interceptions, tackles and simple passes.
Won’t single anyone out but few shockers of individual performances today.
Our season won’t be judged on days like today but like it or not, they are in our league and we should be competitive when we do play them. Much improvement needed.
Benji has a couple of good saves but wouldn’t agree he was the difference between us and double figures. Couldn’t do much with any of the goals but wasn’t as influential as the Celtic game for example.

Pass marks to Benji, and I thought Reynolds tried to stick to his task with players around him struggling in their roles. Powers too looked ok, to me, and I was surprised to see him go off. And Shankland got back on the pitch. I thought him and Sporle at least looked energetic, while several others were well off the pace.
Hopefully the performance colours Micky Mellon's selection and tactics for the forthcoming (winnable?) matches.

I had the RFCTV commentators on hesgoal. They weren't sure what would be the outcome early on when Bolton was booked, thinking Davis was perhaps the culprit, but by the second half Clancy was the devil incarnate, and Edwards should have been hung drawn and quartered when the wee barrel went down injured.

I'm a bit dispirited with two thumpings in a row but all we can do is hope we will be more competitive in the upcoming games. Didn't watch the game so can't comment on performance but doesn't sound great.
We could do with some good news on the signing front to lift everyone a bit.

Same here Pat. It was Alex Rae and some gimp. Think the young lad watched it on a footybite stream and he said it was English commentary.

Was always going to be a hard one today as they do not leak goals and we did not create much.
MM could have set us up more defensively but don't think that's his style. Although it's hard to take there is a big gulf in class between them and us just now but these aren't the games that will define our season.

United 0 v 101 Passes straight to feet o' Hun
Edit: Just watched Mellon & Shanks post match. Got to say, like a' the things Micky's got to say, acknowledgdes we were out of our depth, nae woeful excuses, remains positive. Keeps the faith: We are Dundee United.
Shanks: likewise, back to say.
