Or Kilmarnock?
Norwood wasn't in the latest ITFC squad against West Ham today, wonder if he's still struggling with injury or there is some movement for him.

The sooner the better.
Not sure he'd be debuted on their plastic pitch after so long out. But gives him more time to train with the squad and bond with his team mates etc before the International break and Ibrox the following week.
Assuming it does even happen.

Just don't see the Norwood thing happening. Doesn't add up. That said, I said that about Shankland.

Courier saying EPL sides are sniffing around Lewis Nielson. Leeds, Everton Southampton and Leicester all had scouts there on Saturday apparently.

Sooner we get a striker the better. Very disappointed with how slow we are being!

Don’t personally think it’s the strikers that are the main issue there though. Not saying we couldn’t do with a target man, but I think we’re mainly needing another quick winger and a creative centre mid, unless Mochrie or Glass step up.

I kind of agree. It's teamwork that scores goals, not the man with number 9 (or 24) on his back. That's too much of an onus but I'm not denying that every football club in the land is looking for a 25 goals-a-season man. What I'm seeing from MM's teams so far is the industry, goals could come from all over the pitch.
And what are the chances of us getting a top drawer cf anyway, there is a massive imbalance of supply & demand.

We need those also.
But we definitely do need another Striker. One that can allow us to play a different way when we need to.

If Pavol Safranko isnt the perfect striker for our team right now then I dont know who is.

Stevie Wonder can see we are screaming out for them also. We were on topic about a striker hence my post.

I actually agree with you that his game is perfect for the way we play currently.
But i hope he isn't the Striker we sign.
My reason is that i think we need a Centre Forward who is a bit different from Clark and Shankland and can allow us to adapt our formation and style. In short we need a more physical option who we can also play long too in matches where we aren't seeing much of the ball and one who can make the ball stick up top and get is into attacking areas without having to play through teams.
We will very quickly get sussed out if we continue to keep playing the same way and thankfully i think we gave a Manager who absolutely recognises that hence him changing things to suit each opponent.

Is Stevie Wonder gonna be paying for all 3 like?
My point is that from what I was told, we’ve got very limited funds to spend this summer, and a new striker is number 3 on the priority list.

On topic, CM looks better & better every week.
Winger, a must.
Striker, short term, cannae see Shanks getting a start tae Riders o' the Apocalyse game at least, we're toothless without him. Medium term he'll be gone by January .
CB, be interesting to see how Reynolds goes on weekend.

So Ipswich aren't keen on loaning him and his wages and transfer fee are way out of our league.
Time to move on.
Starting to frustrate me how long we are taking to get in attacking players. We seem to be dragging our heels somewhat.
And i know the transfer window is open for another two months but we are struggling to score NOW.
Online!
Midnight Oct 5th.
5 weeks on Monday. We’d feel a bit better if Shankland was fit

Totally, as I said earlier this just doesn't stack up. The talk of a young lad for the second string is fine as we need to keep finding players to develop but we need a goalscorer or two to improve the squad now. I'm thinking we've less money than we had all hoped - which is understandable - but we've clearly been putting out to the media with little real ability to follow through on it. The Norwood thing is a bit embarrassing for me.

Saying on that link re the boy Hoti it would likely be for the development team.
Anychance we can sign players now that are for the first team ffs.

I agree, did you see the Sheffield game? Glass and Mochrie best 2 on the pitch for us and that’s against premiership opposition, both don’t seem to be getting a chance under Mellon

I'm kinda glad to hear there's not much money for transfers. Young players are the way forward. Keep promoting youth is far better for the club long term.

Agreed Beharder. I would have sooner given your Scott Allans & Scott Banks an earlier airing rather than get in some of the desperate dummies that came in so unsuccessfully. It won't be long til Mellon gives game time to your Declan Glass & Chris Mochries. Our Academy right now is bursting at the seams & what dividends that could bring.
