Best a United back 4 has played for a long time.  Good 2nd half performance and a deserved 3 points.  Now to put last weeks 1st half together with this weeks 2nd and we’ll be laughing.

Great to see the back four receiving the plaudits after the slating Connolly got last week. They will be tested on Tuesday for sure, but I've got faith that Micky can get more out of these players than Nielson ever did.

Really like the winners mentality he has and hoping we can really show our Premiership credentials on Tuesday 👍

 
I’ll always just call it how I see it, last weeks done, this week the back 4 were very good.  Hope Smiths injury isn’t too bad, was a really bad tackle.

Decent performance.

Biggest thing for me is we have played 2 and competed in both. As we are, we can just about  hold our own in the league. A few astute signings and we could be very decent.

First half was slow. No real action from either team - perhaps both teams feeling each other out.

Second, I felt we did well enough but didn't threaten the goal too often. Equally, they didn't threaten ours either.

Mellon talks well and hope the players buy into it.

In the end opted to listen to the game in the sunshine.  Have to say it sounded a fairly professional away performance.  Sure Motherwell are not firing on all cylinders yet, but neither are we.  (Hopefully Shankland comes back stronger from the layoff).  Good to see Mellon getting a few more players game time.  Chalmers had a good game by the sound of it.  Appere worked hard in unusual position.  Bolton another game getting used to his new teammates and an assist.  Sporle coming on and catching the eye (or at least ear for me).  Congrats have to go to the back four though - kept a very tight rein on things and limited them to four shots on target (and bar the disallowed goal) only one I can recall was a good chance (the Watt volley). 

Tough game Tuesday night and I think Mellon needs to think about countering their pace. Which might go against the Marks  They have to be favourites, but I still don't think they are particularly good at the back. 4-1 at Livi is a good result and the boy Nisbet looks to be on fire already.
