The 1230pm response was for Arabdownsouth post from the bottom of the previous page. but my esteemed friend Bowers beat me to it, a but of a crossed line in the modern context.

I mentioned the 8 Aberdeen players being in the boozer and the Johnnies match postponement because nae chunt else had. Thought it would be of interest, as to kinda help explain the Sky situation. That was only released to the press at 1220.

Jeez, I've just moved the Aberdeen players out my bowers FFS team, and am right down to the bare bones. Of course, that should be the least of my worries if Shankland is injured, and a very selfish position to take.

Maybe Louis George P. Appéré will get a chance through the middle, as Tek suggests above.

I was away to make comment on the 'New Strips' topic, but I see the King and the Prawn have been put in the same box (sin bin) by Tek. Since we're wearing them tomorrow, I'll sneak it here: yes, a good cause, and doing something like this shows the club in a commendable light, and illustrates a human understanding of wider issues in society, a fine characteristic for a community club.

Meanwhile, I don't particularly like the use of the colour, although purple is a shade I like in normal situations. I'd prefer to stick to white or black for change jerseys, in fact wouldn't be averse to returning to black and white as our major choice. But it doesn't really bother me too much what options we choose, within obvious limits.

Chalmers more of a winger I think mate. I'd love to see a front 2 of cammy and appere. They would do plenty of running. Clark probably has to play though if Shanks is out.

I reckon Micky Mellon's interview on DUTV gives a strong hint that Shanks is injured.

He's asked about team news or any fresh injuries and he says something along the lines of:

"Like every team, every week there are ones that you'll give until the last minute to be ready. But we have a good squad here and anyone should be ready to come in and play at any time"

Well at least if Shankland is out we may be slightly unpredictable for the opposition. We've all got no clue what side or formation we will play so at least neither will they lol
