I imagine SHANKLAND 24 is the most popular naming/numbering on replica shirts in the DU Shop. Parents & punters none too happy if their number goes out of date. Mum, Dad I want SHANKLAND 9. More expense, I think that's all there is to it.
I commented ominous # 9 unallocated. Being kept for Shanks' replacement was my cynical thought....

I imagine SHANKLAND 24 is the most popular naming/numbering on replica shirts in the DU Shop. Parents & punters none too happy if their number goes out of date. Mum, Dad I want SHANKLAND 9. More expense, I think that's all there is to it.
