DUTV

Re: DUTV

So just to clarify there is no way that pay at the gaters can see our games live during the closed door period?

Unless they're on SKY. That is correct, yes?

Re: DUTV

On the relaunch. It seems a step in the right direction.

Arabzone had it's day but it's format seemed dated.

The new matchday pre/game show with ex-players and club legends as pundits is a winning idea.

Re: DUTV

That’s my understanding of it TEK, been talk of allowing fans to watch away games on a PPV basis, which is obviously the sensible option to allow clubs to generate money. The SPFL really should be coming out this week and clearly laying out the rules of what’s going to happen with this.

It seems unfair that the club/s could be stopped making more revenue by being unable to stream the games on a one off basis to supporters who just pick and choose their games due to financial or work reasons. Particularly in the current financial climate.

No doubt there will be some beauracratic reason given which will be tied in to the SKY deal.

Reading this update from Killie TV it would seem that they are saying only their overseas fans will be able to watch their away games. And of course be able to stream their home games, whilst their local patg's won't be able too.

Seems grossly unfair.

Re: DUTV

Great news regarding the much needed rebranding of the club TV and a massive opportunity for the club to kick on in this field.

With a wider audience now the club TV will appeal to local and National sized businesses looking to advertise/sponsor special shows or awards.

Re: DUTV

With the price hike I'll be giving it a couple of months to see if the content gets any better, if not I'll be spending similar money on Disney instead.

Re: DUTV

Think the clubs will all be limited by the supplying company's ability to provide realtime streams to a finite number of customers. I suspect there will also be restrictive regulations from broadcasters about total subscriptions. BMT yesterday mentioned this in a different thread:

BMT wrote:

I was talking to one of the Ladies who works in the shop when i picked up my season ticket on Monday and she said we will be getting a link sent to your registered email address for the streams. Not sure about Saturday though as she did mention that they got an agreement from Sky for 6000 links as they were originally only given 4000 but argued that they needed more due to season ticket sales and don't know if this game is covered by the agreement.

It may not be Sky who are providing permission for the number of streams right enough, but some general broadcaster agreement made with the SPFL. I'm guessing on the permission stuff, but not on the technical constraints, that makes plain sense.

£2 i think for UK subscribers.
Overseas go up to £14.99 a month which includes live games.

Definitely unfair but on the bright side maybe encourage a few more season ticket sales.

Re: DUTV

Alright folks, first time poster - watched the forum from the sidelines for years but time to step up before the season starts!

Seen that it may be overseas viewers who can get access to the away day games. Might be worth investing in a VPN to set your IP address to another country. You’ll then be able to access them from home - make sure you get a paid one, the free ones are dodgy as!

Re: DUTV

I was wondering aboot that mysell.

Surely the 6.99 monthly or the 73.99 annual subscription (in the UK), wouldna get ye all the live hame matches. Thats a lot less than the price oe a ST.

Re: DUTV

I’ve got a smart tv so assume I can watch on that?  But how do I log in once Utd send me the password?  Is there an app I need?

Sorry if this is simple question but I’m hopeless with technology

So if you have a Smart TV you'll have to use the web browser function mate. There wont be an app as far as I can tell. Easiest option might be laptop with HDMI cable into the TV.

No problem. You could also cast your phone to your TV assuming the function is available on both your mobile and TV.

I've a pretty decent Samsung smart TV, but when I last tried to watch Arabzone on it it buffered to fuck. Hopefully this new channel is better

Re: DUTV

Hibs being total dicks about this, only doing selected games for PPV! Disgraceful, so killie fans at weekend now can’t watch there team
