Re: Welcome Mr Mellon

Yessssss !!  Finally.   Was getting worried there.  Welcome Mickey.
Like others on here I thought "who's he" But the more I heard about him the more I liked the look ae him.

That's one duck down.

We can move on to some more signings and prep for new season.

Hearts situation - pain in the arse but the longer it goes on the more they're painted into a corner the more ahbdy's wasting money on Farce of Midlothian . Resolution in ahbdy's interest. Anyway that's for another thread.

Welcome Mickey !

Re: Welcome Mr Mellon

Good to hear he is fully committed and moving his family with him.
Hopefully he will be better turned out at the unveiling than Nielsen ( remember him?) no me neither .

Fucking ridiculous suit for a man in his 40s

I would have been quite happy for them to stay cos heard they were good lads doing a decent job.
But new brooms sweep clean & maybe better that new regime rules.
Only problem is there will be relocation issues if MM brings any of his TRFC staff as I'm sure he will, maybe not knowing all the available assistants up here.
And on that issue that's great news MM is moving his (large) family up here, I was slightly concerned he'd be having to go up & down the road to Blackpool when he could get away Sun/Mon or whatever.

That will keep plenty of our fans happy anyway.

Not too surprised, cannae mind what contract they were on, but we must have balanced out the cost of that against the price for compensation if they go elsewhere.

Me too, but if they go to Hearts given the current issues, they won't be 'good lads' any more

Where are you seeing this mate? Disappointing if true but interesting to see who we appoint.

Nothing against either. Indeed i've heard good things about both.

But common sense if true.

Re: Welcome Mr Mellon

Rumours are that he hasnt 'walked out' as it says in article but that it was mutual. Assuming Mellon wanted to bring in his own no.2? If this is the case then no hard feelings against McCulloch. Has kept things moving over the last two weeks and you would imagine has gone about it very professionally.

Would agree with this. It's important for Mellon to have 1 or 2 of his own people in, in my opinion. The fellow Michael Jackson is extremely highly spoken of on the Tranmere forum so I'm hoping he's incoming.
