Teaser

Here's one for a quiet Wednesday night.
Four Scottish senior teams with two letter 'u' in their name.
The first one's quite close to home, who might that be & who are the others??

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

There's lots of genuine correct answers, smedDUm, when you consider your question.

Re: Teaser

smedDUm, you asked for "Four Scottish senior teams with two letter 'u' in their name."

I think you mean 4 in the top four divisions, as there are a lot of senior teams with the letter 'u' twice.

There's Edinburgh United and Edinburgh University for example.

I stand corrected Founder.
Highland & Lowland Leagues are senior too, yeah?
On that basis I'll give you tUrriff United and edinbUrgh University but can't give you edinbUrgh United from the East of Scotland League, that's stretching things.

I'm not worrying about correct answers or otherwise, Smeds, just pointing you in the direction that many teams in Scotland are Senior, when a lot of football fans consider them to be Junior. Even my local Camelon Juniors are now Senior, as are, as an example Musselburgh Athletic, who turned Senior at the same time (2018).

The East of Scotland League is much longer in existence than the Lowland League, formed in 2013 as part of a promise to ambitious clubs who were (against the SFA's rules and regulations) snubbed to let Sevco take part in the four league system. The South of Scotland League too has a longer history than the Lowland League.
