Re: Alloa V's DUFC ~ Friday 14th February (7.05pm)

My eyes have nearly stopped bleeding after watching that pish.

Can’t believe RN only used 1 sub.

Robson has just entered the Guinness book of records, for the most balls crossed without finding a team mate.

Re: Alloa V's DUFC ~ Friday 14th February (7.05pm)

What the fuck is Neilson playing at seriously?

That was another fucking embarrassment.

Last 3 league games against Morton Arbroath and Alloa we have taken 2 points and scored 1 goal.
Totally unacceptable.

Re: Alloa V's DUFC ~ Friday 14th February (7.05pm)

We are so lucky the whole league is piss poor this year. Assuming our arses dont completely collapse and Shankland goes will be a full summer rebuild.

I would not trust this xxxxxxxx manager with tuppence ha'penny some howling signings last 18 months...Sow Pawlett King C Smith again for starters 3 year deal Reynolds etc etc. Painfully negative 85% of away games...

So how do we sort that maybe by winning league by 2 points and 3 wins out of last 16 or similar will make change?

Re: Alloa V's DUFC ~ Friday 14th February (7.05pm)

Have we learned anything at all about how to play that team in that ground on that pitch with their tactics and style of play after what fucking happened previously using similar fucking tactics?

We now have umpteen fucking staff analysing every fucking aspects of how opposition play, what strengths and weakness are of us and them and we do what we do again there!?

Got a point aye. Better than what we got times before aye but COME ON TAE FUCK!

Re: Alloa V's DUFC ~ Friday 14th February (7.05pm)

Tin hat on- I actually didn’t think we were that bad, however, the end product was absolutely abysmal go as far to say embarrassing from certain players, surely robson has been working on this cause that’s always been his downfall and it’s getting worse!

Controlled game Imo and Watson and Connolly solid enough, big game next week must have that winger signed and hopefully appere and Mcmullan back

18 clear with 12 games left, 3 big games coming up need abdy fit and fucking ready to go to battle

At least we didn't concede...been a problem of late

Also...and I'm no fan of RN...but Alloa I think had the best stats over five games in the division prior to this one (probably still do I guess)

Not happy with things as they are tho...not by a long way

I’d suggest we need more than that and all first picks.

Re: Alloa V's DUFC ~ Friday 14th February (7.05pm)

That was fucking POWDERPUFF again tonight. Plenty of possession even in and around their penalty box. But their Keeper made what? 1 save all night (rudimentary save from Bingham)? It looked like we could have played all night and not scored. For the 3rd league game in a row.

Playing Butcher, Harkes and Powers all together in the same midfield has to stop now. It is slowing our play right down (and we were already a pretty pedestrian side imo). Can't make my mind up about Powers. Looks tidy on the ball and a good passer. Technically he looks a better player than any of our other centre mids. But he slows our play right down and dilly dallied in possession a few times. Maybe he just needs time to adjust to the pace of our game. But he needs to learn fast. The only time in 2020 we have played well was when wee Declan Glass played in the hole just behind Shankland and we blew Partick away. He hasn't been seen since in a starting jersey (and barely from the bench). Very strange, negative tactics.

Pawlett is finished. Completely. As soon as McMullan and Appere are back he better be on the bench. And it would be good to see a winger brought in even just for the rest of the season.

Plus points - There weren't many, at all. But thought Rakish Bingham looked ok considering it was his first game in awhile. Think he'll get better with more games/fitness.

Watson was back at CB and we kept a clean sheet. Hopefully that is enough for Neilson to keep him there and stop this nonsense of playing Connolly~Reynolds together.

We will win the league. But concerned it's going to be a limping finish, rather than a stylish one. Which would be a shame as it would dampen our title celebrations somewhat and leads to concerns and doubts going into next season. Where we are going to face a considerable upgrade in opposition.

Last night was his worst performance in a good fucking while the crossing was at its worst. Major boot up the arse needed.

Good to see Watson back agree but i wonder if he will put Reynolds back in alongside Connolly next Friday? He couldn't wait to get them back together and Reynolds only sat out due to pitch imo.

Massive game Friday night.. They have 2 games in hand still also. I cant see us making a cunt of this but fuck sake these last 3 league games especially have been really poor.

Making 1 sub was a joke also. Glass should have been on to give us another option.

Pawlett is like his love child. He is nowhere near good enough now. We have been screaming out for a winger for fucking months and still dont have anycunt.

He wont go with Watson if the other 2 are both fit for this game.

Agree regarding the league and the finish.. However on next season yes we will face a considerable upgrade in opposition as you say but this squad we have now wont be what we have next season. there will be alot of movement this summer. hopefully for the better!!

Re: Alloa V's DUFC ~ Friday 14th February (7.05pm)

At least we don't have to go back there.
Ever, I hope.
Next season we've only got Killie, Livi & Accies to worry about playing on shite
And at least we didn't concede, another shut-out for our favourite Toblerone muncher.
Alloa will NOT go down, watch out for their results at home for the rest of the season.

Accies will go down and hopefully never to return. A shitty little place to go and pitch is fucking horrendous.

If i started a full rant about last night I'm not sure when I'd get stopped........but how the fuck Glass didn't replace Pawlett early in the 2nd half is beyond belief......I just keep questioning quite a lot of Neilson's tactics...

Also wind and rain on plastic equals anti football

Neilson is far too defensive minded. I worry that the closer we get to be over the line the more defensive he’ll become.

See tweets like this, cannot fucking stand them! So chipper if u come on here or see this, stop it.

Also seen a tweet saying butcher worst united captain, Sections of united fans are a embarrassment and seems they can’t wait for the team to get beat.

Disagree.
People are not happy with recent performances and rightly so. People are too happy to brush pish like last night off because of where we are in the league.

Re: Alloa V's DUFC ~ Friday 14th February (7.05pm)

Never went, spent much of the day in the pub instead. Watched a bit on the telly, and some players stood out as struggling. Puzzles me even more that Robbie decided to only use one subbie, and relatively late in the game.

I know the conditions were poor, as was the pitch, but the way the play was going, giving three other players a decent opportunity to influence the game should surely have been one of the easiest decisions for Robbie to make this season.

See posts like this, I can’t fucking stand them.

If it annoys you that much then reply to it instead of bringing it on here where it might not be seen by the folk you’re trying to make a point to?

No Utd supporter wants us to get beat, the only embarrassing things last night were the team selection, tactics and performance, not what anyone said on Twitter.

And if anyone can show me a worse footballer that’s wore our captains armband I’ll be shocked, and yes I do remember Murdoch wearing it.  I know most of the support seem to have a Hardon for Butcher, but that doesn’t change the fact he’s not very good.
