We should have tried to tempt them before deadline day. Many had been talking about it for a while we should go for him.Â
I doubt we will manage to get him in the summer as he will continue to score goals for the rest of the season and other clubs will be sniffing about.Â
Although we didn't think we would get Shankland so you never know.

Good to see us going for our Shankland replacement early. I wonder if Dunfermline would have been tempted with the offer of loaning him back for the remainder of the season.
Hopefully he looks at what’s happened with Shankland and see’s us as his best option come the summer.
Also nice to see we’re trying to reinvest some of the transfer funds we receive instead of trying to land boys on the cheap and bring in free agents as has happened in the psst.

Good move from the club. I think Dunf will sell him for slightly less in the summer due to his contract only having a year left. But we just have to see how it goes. He is a very very good footballer. Not just a poacher, good a running at defenders and providing assists too. I'd be very happy with this signing if we can pull it off.
