He played in the reserves early last week and was seemingly outstanding.  But, apparently he was injured which is why he wasn't in the squad yesterday.  No idea how serious it was though.  I'm going on Tuesday.  If McMullan takes a game we will win.

I'd go with:

Benji

Smith
Watson
Connolly/Reynolds
Robson

Butcher
Powers/Harkes (personally, I'd prefer Harkes)

McMullan
Glass (or Pawlett if 'fit')
Appere

Shankland

If glass is fit I’d also play him instead of sow, missed someone like glass yesterday terribly

What would make you prefer Harkes over Powers?

Seems daft him playing in the Reserves given our lack of attacking option in the middle of the park.

My team exactly. Lots of pace for counter attacks.

Would rather have Connolly than Reynolds otherwise agree

Re: Hibs v Utd - Tuesday 28/1/20 (7.45pn)

Connolly is quicker than Reynolds, better in the air than Reynolds and more aggressive than him, don't see why anyone would prefer Reynolds over him, I personally think it will be both of them playing.

Mark Reynolds was part of the team that went on a winning run that included 7 clean sheets out of 9, playing alongside Paul Watson as his partner.

Since Mark Connolly came back into the back four we've started leaking goals again. Now i'm not laying the blame for that solely at his door. But imo Watson - Reynolds is our best CH pairing.

Re: Hibs v Utd - Tuesday 28/1/20 (7.45pn)

Watson seems to have a bit of support on here, and then it's a choice between Connolly (who I'd favour presently) or Reynolds to partner him.

But Robbie probably favours Connolly with a contract to summer 2021 and Reynolds with a contract to summer 2022 over Watson, who only has a few more months at the club.

Re: Hibs v Utd - Tuesday 28/1/20 (7.45pn)

You just need to look at the amount of goals conceded when Watson does play CH and the amount when he doesn’t to see that he’s probably our best CH.

Re: Hibs v Utd - Tuesday 28/1/20 (7.45pn)

Starting Pawlett and Reynolds with Watson and Glass on the bench is laughable. How many shocking performances from Pawlett will it take for Neilson to stop shoehorning him in, we are so much weaker when he plays.

Fully agree. That team is getting beat tonight full stop.

Trying to justify some stupid signings on stupid money rather than picking his best team. Pawlett was a passenger on Saturday and will likely be the same again tonight.

Hibs fans don’t seem too pleased with their starting XI which makes it all the more infuriating.

You just ken when there’s a pen against us, it’s scored every time, not having a pop at benji, but weird for a guy his sizes he’s never saved a pen for us but Cammy bell was excellent at saving pens
