The 4th round draw is made on Sportscene this evening and it would be interesting to see who people should like to get.
Personally one of the non league sides at home so BSC Glasgow, Broxburn or East Kilbride.
This is simply due to wanting a tie against a team that would not otherwise be faced in competition and not a familiar face from league teams at this stage.

I have dreamt of Dundee Utd playing in my hometown of East Kilbride for many years.
But the reality is if we draw EKFC away the game would probably be moved to Hamilton or Airdrie (as they did for the Celtic game). Which would ruin the whole experience for me. Especially if it was moved to Airdrie's horrible soulless stadium.
Hamilton I could just about live with. At least I could have a few beers in EK and jump on the bus and be at the game in 15 minutes.
In terms of an away day Auchinleck Talbot would be class if they get by Arbroath.
I fear we are gonna get some shitty away tie that isn't glamorous or romantic at all, but still totally loseable.
i.e. Livingston or Killie away.

I'm hoping for a home tie as 2 big away days before the cup game.

Somewhere I’ve never been away from home is always what I hope for in the early rounds. There’s a few options with the non league teams left. I’d settle for Dundee at Tannadice tho. Got a feeling we might be headed to Ibrox.

Good point b & t.
Away to QotS & Partick first two Saturdays in January.
A home tie on the 18th would start a run of three home games.
But as The Shed says I fear they'll send us to Ibrox.

If it is not a non league then a lower league side like Annan, Stranraer or Airdrie etc for me.
Again at this point just because of a change of opponent, however I would prefer to avoid a Premiership side especially away from home.
I just noticed Annan lost at Edinburgh City so replace Annan with City in list of potential wanted opposition.

Edinburgh City would be a good one for an away day.

An easy home game against lowly opposition please.

Agreed........ Although I'd be ok with it being played at the shitehole across the road 😂
Worst draw would be away to any of the Championship teams.
Best away draw would be to any team below the Championship.
Best home draw is anychunt.

Want.. the lowest ranked team away from home.
Think we will get a premier team away.

Hibs at home - probably the 4th or 5th worst possible home draw. Not impossible though.

On a side note, has to be one of the most boring draws in a while. Almost no ties that stand out as overly exciting or have the potential for a giant killing.

Tough tie but I bet they won't be savouring it either. Jack Ross going there won't help though, they were a shambles before.
Happy with that
Should be a good crowd
Downside...moved for TV nae doubt

That wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for me but I do understand that won't suit everyone.
One of either us or the fun will be moved anyway as both drawn at home.

I'm dissapointed.
Yeah it's at home and yeah it'll be a good crowd.
But it's a pretty loseable game. In fact we will probably be the Underdogs in the tie, despite being at home.
I was hoping for a fun away day at a wee teams ground and an easy progression, with goals rattled in.
If we had drawn Hibs under Heckingbottom i would have fancied our chances more. But since they binned him they've put 5 past St.Johnstone away and 3 past a good Motherwell side. I think they will continue to improve now under the tutelage of Jack Ross.
Ach i guess we'll see how we get on on the day. It's 2 months away. A lot of fitba to be played between now and then (and hopefully a player or two signed by then also).

Pretty much sums up my feelings on the draw too.

Agreed, they seem to have improved substantially in the short time since heckingbottom left. Only the OF and Aberdeen would’ve been worse imo. It will be there first game back after the winter break though so we could potentially catch them cold.

They will be worried about us if we keep our form going. We are pretty tight defensively and if Shankland is still fit and firing then they can't treat us lightly. We won't be under any pressure so can play freely. Bring it on I say!

Also I believe they will be coming into the game off the back of the winter shutdown so match sharpness could work in our favour
United v Hibs is the tie of the round according to BBC Sport Scotland which is nice I suppose.
Saturday, Sunday or Friday I wonder. Fun at home too.
Tek's home team can make it to the last 16, drawn against fellow Lowland leaguers BSC. It's the romantic tie of the round. Wonder if it will make the tele.
BSC (Broomhill Sports Club Glescae) will be slight favs, they're 4th in the league with a couple of games in hand and only one league loss so far this season. EK are 9th with 5 defeats. BSC play their home games at the Recs so it's a good job we didn't get them away.
Anorak Monday ;)

A great draw for both teams Smedz.
That at least one Lowland League side will make the last 16 of the Scottish Cup is a great feather in the cap for that division.
