Would have made financial sense to move the game back a bit so the Heggy was rammed for the Scotland game.

.....especially if LS is a starter on Saturday....

Charging fans a tenner a head to watch the derby in the heggie.
Included a peh and pint.
Alot of people who are in the heggie before and after every home game who dont go to dens had planned watching the game there but not paying for it have said they wont be back in the place.

I see all the big clubs are pulling out their players for Saturday's game, all with minor injuries that won't stop them playing for their clubs. Not saying I'd want us to do the same as I don't think holding Lawrence back will be in his or our interests. But still all feels very unfair that we have to play a vital match minus our star player.

Their clubs all have a free week tho. We don't so even if he did pull out he wouldt be able to play for us.

Yeah I was thinking more that its unfair we have to play our game tbh. For what it's worth I'm delighted we have a Scottish International striker in our team after the amount of shite players we've had to endure the last few seasons, some so bad their names escape me now. Oh bollocks Emil Lyng just popped into my head 😒

Lets just stop worrying about it and get on with it and hope whoever plays steps up and prove to others that we are not the 1 man team they think we are.

That's all very well, can't disagree with your sentiment, but it'll me meltdown central if we get beat
P.S. When's your aeroplane landing? Just keeping it up there in case...?

I read somewhere yesterday that the Ayr vs Dunfermline game scheduled for Saturday was cancelled due to International call-ups?? I am sure I read it in the fixtures section of a newspaper and it had our game and that game listed for the Championship this weekend but with the Ayr game being cancelled as the reason stated above? Now if this is correct then surely neither of those teams have 3 internationalists who have been called up to national squads this weekend??

Yep............that's my thoughts exactly. You'd imagine that there will be games this season where we will be without Shankland, for whatever reason, so hopefully the players that play will go out and prove that they are all good enough to be in a *hopefully* League winning side.
We had the great man in the team down in Dumfries and it made no difference, we still got royally pumped. That defeat should be more than enough motivation for the rest of the team to get their collective fingers oot on Saturday and get stuck in from the first minute. I'm sure they will and I think we'll win!
