Bottom of the table thistle and specky McCall are at tannadice.
3 points in this is a must for me and sure many others will agree.
I would go with same line up as yesterday.

Same here for the line up (it would be petty of me to want Siegrist and Reynolds rested after a clean sheet), but I'm concerned that Butcher and Robson might be injury concerns. Butcher looked injured a good bit before his late substitution, and I wasn't convinced that he was fully fit anyway. Same with Robson, maybe back a bit early and also down with an injury in the second half.
Pawlett looks a very good footballer, but also looks like he's toiling to last a match, this year's model of Fraser Fyvie.

Pawlett has only played a full ninety minutes once this season (Alloa)
Normally has to be subbed at around 70 minutes.
Robson & Clark back in the starting XI was good to see.
Robson back in allowed Liam Smith to go back to his own position.
And Clark back in meant Appere was able to make a good subbie contribution.
Would like to see a wee bit more on the bench tho, are we missing someone?
Is it the young ones, Banks, Glass, Chalmers?

Not petty, not quite sure what it is. Nonsense probably.
Oh, and is Neilson's position safe for another week?

Question for those that use the zone more than I ever had.
Missing my first game of the season but should still have the time to catch the game on the train. Can I pay for a single game and is it watchable in the UK or is it only out with the UK that you can watch matches online?

You really do have a bit of a nippy side to you don't you Smedz?
Bill more or less saying he would play Siegrest and Reynolds. So not sure why the need for the wee dig.
And yes, i'd imagine Robbie Neilson will be Dundee United Manager for another week.
Unfortunately.

If Butcher, Robson and Pawlett are all playing through injury then this is a big concern.
Whatever first XI we put out they should be really fired up for this game given Ian McCall's previous comments.
That is on Neilson to get into the players heads. A good Manager would have the players wanting to not only win on Tuesday but rub McCall's face in the dirt.
Online!
This will be Particks cup final, McCall will make sure of that due to his utter hatred of us. Probably why they lost yesterday. He'll have told them to go easy in preparation for it.

To be fair to smedDUm, I don't mind what he's written: he disagrees with my view on the keeper, who I think was poor at times yesterday again, and also, to be fair to smedDUm, he's probably a carnaptious auld cunt in real life too

Carnaptious. No idea what that means but I love it 😁

I believe you can buy single games but youd need a vpn to watch it as it's not allowed to be shown in the UK.

Who's Bill? I thought he was Pat? Maybe a mate of yours?
I detest negativity and applaud positivity. I look upon it as a character strength. I don't think it's a trait of someone who is carnaptious. Quite the opposite I think.
I dislike any fan who habitually criticises one of our players unjustly. And sadly there are droves of you.
Like Bill saying he wants Siegrist & Reynolds rested means he would play them. Eh?
The goalie was 'poor at times yesterday again'? Can you please elaborate Bill? Seriously. Was it because he didn't save a penalty?

It is Pat, not Bill. To be honest, neither of those are my real name. I think you aren't understanding what I've written when you state "Like Bill saying he wants Siegrist & Reynolds rested means he would play them. Eh?"
To Siegrist, I'll outline a couple of incidents which stick in mind from yesterday, one each half. First half, he let a loose ball run into the six yard box making no move for it, leaving Brown to desperately clear when it became apparent the keeper, not for the first time, was stuck on his line. A decent striker would have been in and netted.
Second, a long ball looped across his box looked easy to collect, for a 6'5" keeper, but he elected to attempt a punch which kept the attack alive. No idea what was going through his mind.
He looked like he had improved towards the end of last season, but this he has reverted to the lad who lacked confidence and ability to make timeous decisions.
Feel free to disagree, but Shankland would score a barrow load against our defence most weeks.

I meant Pat Reilly. Not Billy Hainey. My mistake.
Carnaptious auld cunt.😉

you can buy a single game for 8quid.
It works outwith UK only but if download a VPN onto your device it will work in the uk.

I thought the punch was perfect.
Said so at the time.
He 'kept the attack alive'. Don't think so, we cleared it.
My positive opinion is that it was a good decision to punch the ball rather than try collect it.
Your negative opinion is that in punching it he kept the attack alive. Think you'll find we cleared it easily.
Oh well....
So, does anyone else on here apart from Pat & Bill think Siegrist should be dropped on the evidence of yesterday's performance?

Holding the ball is surely better than punching. He should have held it.
As I've said, you've misunderstood my comment, while also ignoring commenting on Siegrist's lackadaisical approach outlined in that first half incident.
Finally, where have I written the keeper should be dropped? It appears you have highlighted then misconstrued a comment for reasons only known to you.
Regarding 'opinions', surely the expression of these is a major purpose of a football club message board. I don't think certain players are performing well enough to match what I see as my expectations, therefore have conveyed these here on Tek's pages.
No reason to fall out about it.

Seigrist had one moment when he should’ve came for a second ball after he didn’t make the initial cross.
one moment.
he made a good stop rushing out in the second half.
he was beaten when they hit the bar, but that’s just physics ; a shot off target.
give it a wee rest eh, no long til Tuesday. he might drop a cross there.

I'm not sure if you are at the wind up, but 'give it a wee rest eh' isn't really helpful on a message board where folk come to post opinions. If we all 'give it a wee rest eh', then there will be very few posts.
And to be clear, I want him to do well, and if he does settle to be a very good goalkeeper for us, I'll be praising him here rather than asking he be rested on occasion.

If any player needs dropped it's McMullan just now, dropping him seems to fire him up again and I want him fired up for the derby.

After saturdays display i have to agree, id pop cammy smith out wide and give him some minutes. apart form that same team (if all are fit that it).
To be honest we should have more than enough to see off Partick at home but theres still that air of doubt at the moment with us. Hope a nice nerve free easy win....if there is such a thing.

A win tomorrow and a draw at worst up in the Highlands could see us facing the Dees 7 or 8 points ahead of them, a win at Dens could finish them as challengers.

Cammy Smith has never done anything out wide, very little logic in replacing McMullan with him
