Dundee United vs Dunfermline - 26th October (3pm)

Tough game next Saturday. The Pars are unbeaten in 4 and starting to creep up the table.

Utd's home form (in the league anyway) still excellent (won every game). And scored 18 goals in just 4 home games.

What starting XI lads?

Re: Dundee United vs Dunfermline - 26th October (3pm)

Honestly, lost all faith in the lot of them tbh. That was an absolute gut wrencher yesterday. All I want is for the cunts to stop banging on to the press about how they will make it up in the next game. Total shower of utter shitebags. What they should do is get their wallets out and repay the faithful Arabs that paid to go and witness that!

My granny has false teeth but still far more bite than those cunts yesterday!

Re: Dundee United vs Dunfermline - 26th October (3pm)

We know what’s needed.

A reaction, and a strong one.

The 11? What’s the latest on Connolly & Robson?

Re: Dundee United vs Dunfermline - 26th October (3pm)

I cannot believe I'm craving Connolly being fit, he's brutal, between our five centre Half's we cannot make two half decent between them, I equally cannot believe we have Reynolds a two year deal.

Yeah, except every time we are promised a reaction we get wet fart performances

From the support too although those who travelled to both or either of the last 2 away games feel owed somethimg in the other direction fae the players.

Important we back them again next week in good numbers and noise. Huge 7 days having 3 games that will have a big impact on the season and current feeling on and off the park.

Think Connolly is still about 4 weeks away.

Robson was meant to be back in contention for this weekend. So who knows on that one.

Really hope he is back for Saturday. Defence has been noticeably poorer without him at LB.

Reynolds is on a deal until the end of May 2022, but that might be what you mean.

I reckon Reynolds, and most others signed since the takeover, have been chosen by Robbie, and then the contracts negotiated by Tony.

Aidan Nesbitt, Peter Pawlett and Osman Sow were well known to Robbie, as was Liam Smith, all of whom had played for Robbie before. Troy Brown and Mark Connolly too will have been in sides Robbie faced at MK Dons.

Only Liam Smith has been (in my opinion) a success, and Robbie seems intent on shattering his confidence presently.

I'd put Mehmet in goals for next week, Smith right back, and be concerned about the central defence no matter who was available. Let's say Butcher and Watson, although both are right footed. Robson left back. If unfit, Sporle.

I'm stuck as to who should be in midfield. Think of the rest later.

Re: Dundee United vs Dunfermline - 26th October (3pm)

if Left Back is such an issue (and clearly it is) why not call up our second string LB? A youngster playing in his natural position.

Could be a risk.

As an aside, Reynolds has played LB before.

Brown and Reynolds are useless together so Watson for Reynolds who has been awful Appere deserves a spot so front 4 I want is

McMullan Pawlett/Banks Appere Shankland

Harkes gives me nothing so I might go 4-1-4-1 and put C Smith in for him

Finally I'd change my keeper.

By normal standards, that's a doubt.

Cannae see why folk are thinking Siegrist and Reynolds should be rewarded with another start, while young Appéré  should be sidelined, reflecting on their recent performances.

But it's all about opinions.

I selected Siegrest and Reynolds. But if they were both dropped on Saturday i would have no complaints with the decision. Could any player really complain if they were dropped after the last 2 performances/results?

On young Louis. I really like the kid. But i just wanted to see how we got on with Cammy Smith in the middle of an attacking 3 playing behind Shankland i.e. his best position.

Cammy Smith has never impressed when he's started.

Causes hes played on wing, we knew before he signed he was never a winger and had to play number 10 and is a good player at number 10, baffling to why we ever resigned him and not played in his right position

Tempting to put Butcher at the back instead of Brown...but who to play in central midfield - how bad a signing was King

Might as well go with what you have there...we should have enough if the attitudes right and the movement going forward is good.

Would put Chalmers on the bench myself as our wide options are... McMullan...or....err

If Robson not fit then play Sporle so Smith plays RB regardless
