Still confident we'll go up but will be a slog.

A disgrace of a performance.

Will not comment on that dreadful performance other to say Neilson got it wrong again and Bobby Madden is a useless cunt.

Don’t think bringing in Brown out of the cold after no games in nearly 6 months was the right idea. Should’ve kept Butcher at centre half and gone with Harkes and Stanton. Rookie mistake I think.

that was baffling. Butcher was a standout there in last game.

The midfield were far too deep in particular in the first half.
Boy burst straight through the midfield with nobody tracking him.
2nd goal was basic error of not heading it out then Butcher I think tripped the lad.

Incredible the number of times an Ayr player ran right around the box whilst Stanton, Robson and Smith etc shat out of tackles. Smith in particular had an uncharacteristically poor game and was targeted.

Really dissapointing stuff today.
Felt we could have played all night long and not scored. It was very similiar to the 2-0 at Somerset around about this time last year.
One positive (the only positive) was i thought Troy Brown looked very promising at the back.

Ian McCall still a sad, bitter man I see.

The real mistake Neilson made today was changing back to 4231. Appere was wasted out there, Shanklands far better with someone beside him, it was a ridiculous decision, made worse that he couldn’t see it and didn’t change it.

Wasn't there and didnae see the game. Away day regulars telling me it was shite.
If that was the formation and tactics it obviously didn't work. Caught bit on the radio sayin Shankland wasn't getting a touch of the ball and when he did nae support.
Lesson to be fuckin learned here it seems.

Mate it was obvious after 10 minutes, but he left Louis out on the left for 90. Scandalous.

Lesson should’ve been learnt after East Fife and it seemed like it was. Today was fucking awful and the decision to change from 442 and the eleven that started against Dunfermline was criminal. Won’t be the last time it happens I suspect.

Seen a few folk mention it, not only here but across other sites: surely Robbie didn't go with Shankland up top himself today? If so, I shouldn't be surprised, some managers, including Robbie, brood over their team choices too much when they should go with the obvious.

Just as we werent world beaters after beating the fun .... we arent shite after this defeat Hit the woodwork twice but dont think we deserved anything from todays game KEEP THE FAITH

We, as fans, need to just forget it & look to the next one (or two, at home).
Let the players & staff analyse it & hopefully learn from it. 6 points in the next two would be a good response.

Agree with this. We were rubbish today yet everything that could’ve gone against us did: Clark’s miss, soft penalty, at least one stonewaller not given. Just irks me how neilson keeps getting outsmarted by a shite manager.

It was McMullan right, Pawlett centre, Appere left in a 3 behind Shankland. And it didn’t ever look like working.
