Saw the Dalby and Stephenson interviews...Stephenson is still under contract at Liverpool so assuming they are happy to loan him again then that feels like a possibility.

Dalby on the other hand, he was asked if playing in Europe appealed to him, he said of course it does, but realistically that's the only answer he could have given, especially at an awards ceremony. I fear money will talk, as it usually does, but let's see!

Football is for me.  I watch a lot of it.  I can take pleasure watching football at all tiers in Scotland and take in as much 4-7 tier as I do top tier.  Not everyone has to be prime Maradona for it to be enjoyable.  As others have suggested it is maybe you that needs to re-evaluate what you get out of the game.

Docherty and Middleton are not pish.  Granted I think their true level is bottom of the Prem/top of the Championship and I agree we need to strive for better players, but I am also realistic about where the club is and the quality it can get on to the park.  Would I extend their contracts?  Unless we have likely better players lined up (and in that sense more than one), in Middleton's case yes.  In Docherty's case, I struggle with his absence rate but do accept we play better when he plays.  I think we can probably do better with a more reliable player of his quality so I'd probably let him go.

On gaslit, I obviously do know what it means - some people, it would seem, over use it in situations that are not really gaslighting at all.  The comment is more why would you come on here if you feel people are gaslighting you?  They aren't.  It is a footy forum.  People are going to disagree with you.  If you think people on here give enough of a shit about you to actively seek to gaslight you then on you go...!

First Middleton's had a fantastic season, then its "mediocre to good" now it's just better than last year - have a cup of tea, chill out and pick one. Being less shite than last season doesn't magically make him good.

This isn't about enjoying 4th tier football. It's about calling out pish when its glaringly obvious. Docherty and Middleton aren't good enough. Dressing it up doesn't make it any less of a total loser mindset. You do care. If you didn't you wouldn't be writing essays defending mediocrity and contradicting yourself in the process. 

Indeed I'm all over the place.  I'll remember to write in binary the next time for your comprehension.  So a player is either pish or not pish and he either ruins our weekends or he doesn't.  Am I getting it?  All our players are pish.  Think I'm mastering this.

Anyway mate, roll on the end of the season.  I feel so much of a loser supporting Dundee United, I'm thinking I might not bother next year...actually given we can't afford any players that are 'good enough' maybe we won't have a team anyway.

 

Conway, hope you enjoyed Saturday.  We're not pretty at times but the dig is there for all to see.  Appreciate that we don't agree on everything, but at the end of the season we're still all Arabs.  All the best for summer and to Euro trips (probably just the two!).
