We need a Striker and winger in this week.
So, they have enough time to bed in before the real stuff starts.
Our options in the last third are ridiculously poor, currently.
I agree Tek but I find it more reassuring that he gets the defensive side of things sorted out well before the season starts. You don’t lose goals you don’t lose games. Having said this I am as keen as you to get the middle to front sorted out.

Definitely a bit of a concern but at the same time, to keep a similar British core who would we have brought in that we could afford to upgrade those on that list?
I actually think it's going to be really interesting to see if he sees Graham as a starter this year over one of these incoming centrebacks. I'm never convinced that Goodwin rates him as much as he says in public.
It’s definitely hard. There’s not a lot of obvious upgrades in the league that are gettable. In a different time we would’ve went and taken Mulligan from the Fun but now Hibs are in a position to spend £500k+ on the compo, which we’ll never do under Ogren. We’re definitely gonna need investment from someone like a Matthew Benham at Brentford to keep up with Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen, otherwise we’re gonna see a bigger gap opening up in the coming years.
Or the Danish billionaire that lives in Scotland.

And that's the real disappointment.
Canna mind a time when we've ever announced a signing and a new kit at the same time.
People suggest it every year, never happens.Shankland.
Mind he was the camera man taking pictures of Benji Siegriest.
Still, the coolest reveal video the club ever done.
Yep, that was cool.

Preparing myself for some panic buying soon.Bullet dodged i feel. In many ways.
A Striker who doesn't score (we already have one), who appears to have a shite attitude going by the remarks made by his former Widzew Lodz, Manager. And who seems to make a move every few months.
I sense there are a few Eastern European agents handing over brown paper envelopes every few months, when it comes to him.
Now, trying to get more money out of United at the 11th hour, no doubt.
Tell them to swivel and quickly move on.
If this definitely move on.

Thank goodness, looks a really good addition and lots of good things said about him. Cringeworthy interview once again though.
Welcome aboard Pan
What do you mean again? Yannis is actually really good at interviewing players, miles better than Joe Rice or the boy Mark that used to do them. It’s just there’s an obvious language barrier and the boy’s clearly not understanding some of the questions, thats all.
It's just the same generic questions though, I just think sometimes it's too awkward as well for the incoming player. It's hard enough for them not being fluent in English, but the broad Scottish accent doesn't help much either. I find the whole thing a bit difficult to watch personally.
Me too. I can only listen for a minute or so then switch it off.

It's just annoying as fuck to keep reading that we'll have a few in by the end of the week and then it's the week after, and then the week after. Next thing Jim will be moaning about players not being up to speed,or only having half a pre season. United need to get the finger out!Exactly, this.
I don't want to hear any excuses come the Euro game about players not being 'up to speed' or having 'missed out on pre-season' etc etc.
Goodwin and Goodwin knew the size of the task needed recruitment wise.
At the moment it's a very disappointing lack of activity.
Surely we want the bulk of the team who starts against Una Strass to have all played three or four friendlies together.
It's a massive match for the club, not just financially, but also in terms of prestige and a chance to bury a few ghosts (Trabzonspor, Mypa, Slask Wroclaw etc).
You can’t force players to sign though, can you. We all know that if we are trying to sign better quality players then they will have options and also how difficult it is working with agents. I’m as frustrated as everyone else but I can cut united a bit of slack here. I might change my mind though if nothing happens in the next week.

Keeper’s the most important position in a team. If we even had a decent championship keeper in goals instead of him we do not say, we wouldn’t have been relegated in 2022.
I don’t mind scouting abroad for players but not for keepers until they’re proven.
We have Richards as a deputy. The last time we got relegated we had no decent backup.

We should definitely sign Goodwin up to a longer deal nowHe's a decent manager if we're going WWDLW.
When we're going LDDLL he's shite.
I'm afraid it is as simple as that.
Bit in bold applies to any manager.
He deserves a longer deal. Really don’t want to go back to a new manager every other season.

I am not overly worried about this. Is it 2 kids he's got at school up here, and the oldest is in Celtic's academy?
Goodwin's always struck me as quite pragmatic and I feel if he was going to go to a team in England it would be a team north of Yorkshire so he could somehow commute and continue to live up here.
Never know though... I dread to think who we'd end up with off the Scottish managerial merry go round...All that is true, but there might also be the nagging feeling that he's taken United as far as he can, with the undoubted budget restraints that he'll have upon him.
It would not surprise me at all if he departs this Summer.
It would surprise me if he did. He’s mentioned once or twice that he’s never taken part in Europe before and really looking forward to it.

United fans have to take some of the blame here. Why run up to the away fans and goad them. How about just enjoying what United have achieved.
Totally agree. Didn’t some of our fans do something similar last season? Was it at Airdrie? Ultimately Aberdeen fan shouldn’t be throwing anything onto the pitch but we did similar in our last home game against Dundee when objects were thrown at Simon Murray.
