Dundee Utd v Dundee 30/08/19

First Dundee derby of the season on Friday night.  A packed tannadice with over 10K home fans will be some atmosphere and we really need to make it count.

Not sure if Connolly will be back?
If not same team as Dunfermline with maybe Pawlett in for Clark?

Re: Dundee Utd v Dundee 30/08/19

First Derby at Tannadice for over 3 years. And obviously the first league encounter against them since that night.

Winning a game so early into the season certainly isn't 'make or break' by any means.

But it feels so important we win this game to...

1) Keep our monentum going
2) Lay down a marker to Dundee and the rest of the Championship
3) Open up an already healthy gap between us and Dundee

and most inportantly of all really

4) To give the fans a bit of an emotional release and help pay them back a bit for the last 4 years.

We could count on one hand the good performances and results we have had over the past 4 years.

Feels like the support and club need a big win and night, as Friday can offer.

I just hope everyone at the club realises how important the above are.

Hibs 1-0 under McKinnon (thought the club had turned the corner that night)
1-0 v Falkirk under McKinnon (Durnan winner, start of a good run of victories)
2-1 V Falkirk play-off (thought we'd go up for sure after the second half performance, support was amazing)
2-1 v Ayr (finally beating them and coming back to win)
3-0 v ICT play-off semi (a 90 minute performance for once)

5) We are undefeated against Dundee at Tannadice since 15th August 2004 ...over 15 years!!

A whole young generation of Dee's have never seen their team win across the street. Let's ensure that stays the same after Friday.

Lads, what is the weather like up in Dundee? (It is atrocious through my way).

Could the game be in doubt at all?

When, oh fkn when will United get the sound sorted? I am sick of hearing the away fans sounding louder on radio and TV than the larger home support, Gives a false impression of the game.

4 in 4 and smashing BNB's 6-2.  We've had a lot to be miserable about over the last few years, lets just enjoy the fuck out of this.

Absolutely buzzing
