Bury FC

Absolute shame for the fans and genuine people involved in the club. Shows you what can happen when arseholes run your club.

Re: Bury FC

Surely the EFL is hugely to blame, allowing a bloke who liquidated 43 companies previously to take over ownership?

Agree they are partly to blame. The boy before Dale was a bit scrupulous as well. There is no hiding the fact though that what the two owners done is incompetent.

Aye, not much to choose between Dale and Day. These guys have no sense of right or wrong, money is their only guiding light.

Maybe the Lancashire press could say that the company is being liquidated, and Bury, the club, can just continue on.

Re: Bury FC

A big problem will be that even if they get sold they new owners will have to work without the prospect of any income coming in as I would assume that there is no way they can be fitted into another league.

So money out on expenses such as what playing and coaching staff remain and other staff such as the grounds keeping staff,  ground upkeep etc and no money in through match days unless they can arrange a friendly or two.

I hope they survive and work their way back into the league soon. You have to fear for Bolton as well at this point.

Re: Bury FC

Football has to better govern itself.  Ridiculous that Bury has gone and Bolton nearly followed.

I'm no lover of the Thompson's, but I think it is wrong to claim that we were nearly in the same boat or would have been if they had continued.
