Dunfermline V's Utd - Saturday 24th August (3PM)

The away win in Maryhill feels a long time ago now, does it not?

Same starting XI as that night for you?

No thank you. We were lucky they really weren't very good.

Pawlett from start for Clark who really has offered consistently very little. We looked way better against Partuck with PP on. He will be tempted to start Sow for Appere but hope he doesn't as Louis will press harder for 60 minutes or so. Finally a bawhair between Stanton and Harkes he may go either way.

Hopefully somewhere over 2000 will travel and we win so the 10000 can at least enjoy being top at start of the derby...

Our record at East End Park is quite superb.

The Pars haven't beaten us on their own turf for 12 years.

But this will be a tough game. Dunfermline were very organised and impressive in holding Celtic to a scoring draw at Parkhead over 90 minutes, last weekend.

The sort of game we need to win to win the league. Hopefully the manager doesn't retreat into his shell and put Harkes in for Appere for example and back to 4231. Go at them from the off then they cant go at us! A few beers then the train from Edinburgh for me. Looking forward to it Utd please dont let me down again.

I'm quite concerned that this is exactly what's going to happen.

Don't think Dunfermline will use the same tactics they used with Sellik, more likely they go for it early like they did with Smirren and the Fun.

Similar outcomes there going 3 up and finishing 3-2 and 2 up and drawing.

Reckon we'll go on to a comfy win if we can cope with the initial onslaught - have concerns about our defence and it'll be interesting to see how they cope.

Am assuming Pawlett will start so look forward to seeing where Clark gets shoehorned in 🙄

I'm sure the players will be well focused on the match at East End Park, but the fans are maybe looking a wee bit further ahead too early to the derby match.

Three points on Saturday will help us enjoy the 30th build up better, and I hope, like others above, that Robbie sets out his team in the same manner as the first two league games.

I would start with the same team as we did last 2.

Sow and Pawlett off the bench

Looks like it's goin tae be a crackin day, 23°, sunny and calm.

Train is cheap as a supporters bus but an hour n' a half ish. Good furra scoop though.

Rekon we'll have the biggest support we've taken furra while there.

Fitter squad might surprise them with selection, mainly fae the bench I suspect.

Buzzin for this and a week today. 💛

Re: Dunfermline V's Utd - Saturday 24th August (3PM)

I thought we were unlucky not to have scored 2/3 more including the penalty.
We didn't play near as good second half and invited them to come at us i thought although they didn't do a great deal and i thought they were poor.
I cant see Clark starting next week if i am honest.

Shout out the 2550 travelling support today. Brilliant effort again.

Re: Dunfermline V's Utd - Saturday 24th August (3PM)

First half fantastic, second not so great.  Looked like Shankland was limping for a wee while before he went off so hope he is ok.  Butcher superb at the back.
