There's a lad 100 yards up the road who's available for free in January and knows where the net is.

Re: an out and out striker

I dont think we're going to sign anyone.
Jackies made a few references lately about how we dont really play with a striker but with 4 sometimes 5 attackers all interchanging.

Dinna be surprised if we dont bring anyone else in.

I get that feeling too tbh mate.

Jackie doesn't strike me as thinking there is a problem there.

Maybe he has faith in Bilate coming good,or maybe he thinks Adeyemo isnae far away now?Or maybe we just don't have the budget for another forward (though i doubt that personally).

It just strikes me that if we had a 20 goals a season forward we could really have a chance this season on all fronts.

Saturday for me typified the need for an out and out striker. We have some fantastic young players but none of them are clinical enough in front of goal, yet anyway.

Re: an out and out striker

on the other hand...if we played with an out and out number 9, would we be interchanging, making the runs and creating all these chances/one on ones?

Gotta be a balance eh?

That's why i said a Noel Hunt 2006-2008 model would have been a dream in this side,or Johnny Russell ie somebody with pace, who can keep the ball on the deck and link-up but can also, importantly.score goals of every type.

Exactly the type we need, honestly believe if JR was still here we'd be 4 or 5 points clear at the top just now.

He's not a bad striker mate, but at least a year away from being ready for first team football.

My thoughts too.

Big Ola is doing just great and his progress is not going unnoticed.

But it's worth remembering that he was only signed as a professional in the Summer and has played in the Development side for only 4 months.

This time next year i think he could be knocking on the 1st team door.Same goes for Jordan Moore who's lost 18 months of his development now.

If Ciftci gets injured would any of you guys really fancy our chances in a Final against say,Celtic.with Bilate or Dow upfront?

We need a striker.

Re: an out and out striker

Surely there's a striker at Sevco or Sellic that's currently unnoticed due to different circumstances that we can offer opportunity to
