Not surprisingly the Tully has this what appears to be actual news tucked away in a single column not on the back page.
Contrast that to when the tenants next door said May was a player they liked- not news just shite- It was the back page headline
That's Dfc Thomsons for you.

The papers have had him 'close' to deals with St Mirren, Dundee, St Johnstone and now United and Killie already. Looks like he is meeting with a number of clubs to see what they can offer.
A couple of Twitter polls suggest majority of United fans wouldnt take him. I dont really understand the thinking of flat out not wanting him. Id welcome any signing that could improve us.
Utd fans to obsessed with "we'll have too many strikers" or "what are we paying him" when really having him in our squad should make us even more dangerous.
He drifts out to the left wing quite a lot which could work really well for us. I know we'd prefer a proper left winger but maybe playing someone like Cammy Smith left midfield with May and Shankland up front would make us quite dangerous. May drifting out to the left and Cammy able to move slightly more central which suits him.

Double edged sword when it comes to Stevie May. I’m not sure he’s really what we need at the moment with his injury problems and a seeming total loss of confidence. However, I’d be concerned if he ended up at Dens as dropping down a division might be what he needs to rekindle what he’s lost and a strike force of Nelson and May sounds much more dangerous than Nelson and Curran.

He has been injury free for 2 seasons now.

That’s true but I was speaking more about the nature of his injuries. He’s seems to have had similar problems to Sow where his injuries have cost him some of his pace and his confidence seems shot, maybe scared of blowing his knee again.

If we can use his wage (and any fee) on a natural left winger, I’m all in

I actually rate Bouhenna. But if he has any desire to go to some mob in Romania with Csaba Laszlo in charge and a fraction of our history, then there's the door Son and don't let it hit you on the way out.
I want players who love playing for that badge.

Tek, I doubt there is a player at our club, or many other clubs, who love playing for the badge.

Courier reporting Booth likely to leave this week (along with Bouhenna) and that news about a winger expected in the coming days.

Declan Glass 6-month loan to Cove Rangers!
Good luck to him. Sure he will do well.

The winger is French, apparently.

Sadly, this is probably the case.
Last guy we had who probably loved playing for the badge was big Garry Kenneth. And even he left for more money. Not that i blame him, it's a short career.

Looking at the bench tonight - how have we got a bench with Appere, Chalmers, Mochrie and Robson despite Neilson being given free reign to sign nearly 20 players in two windows.

Very good point that.

Because he spunked the money on crocks that will probably never have a sustained run in the team? Looking at another season of abject scraped wins littered with pumpings from minnows. I think it’s pretty fair to say that his Hearts team that ripped through this league had more than a helping hand from Levein. How can you go from that to the absolute brutal play of his Largs system? I doubt the new owners will put up with it for much longer.

St. Mirren after Safranko apparently.
The more I watch us, the more I realise we’re gonna rely on Shankland’s goalscoring ability to dig us out of a hole. The least we could do is get him a proper partner.

Yeah, Shankland is pretty good isn't he. Didn't realise he has such an edge to his game tho. Makes Pavol look like a shrinking violet. He's definitely Safranko-plus. But you see his two efforts, crossbar 1st half, volley 2nd half? I've got a horrible feeling that last season they would have gone in.
