Bouhenna + Booth

Daily Record reporting that Bouhenna will join Laszlo's mob in Romania (for a fee) and Booth will be released from his contract to sign for Bury.

Dissapointed about and in Bouhenna. Lack of ambition from the boy imo.

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

Bouhenna occasionally looks very good, but it’s nowhere near often enough and he often looks very poor.

Booth is just poor.

No loss at all and getting money for Bouhenna is a real bonus tbh.

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

I liked Bouhenna. I thought he looked the best defensive type midfielder at the club.

But if he wants to go...well you let him go. The fact we got a fee is a bonus and hopefully means we can get an extra signing in.

He did on occasion I’d agree, but then the next game he’d revert back to poor again imo.  No consistency.

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

the fee might well be used to move boys on.

He never had a real run of games at DCM to see if he could really blossom there. The home game against ICT he was outstanding. But i take your point. St.Mirren away, poor.

We'll need to hope Butcher can stay fit now.

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

Our 1st team is currently at 25.

Let's be completely honest here (look away now SmeDum).

If we lose Bouhenna and Booth that takes us down to 23.

But we could (and should) still get rid of Aird, Loemba, Frans, Matty Smith, Cammy Smith and Osman Sow.

That would take us down to 17. Add in Appere, Chalmers and Banks to the 1st team squad (assuming we intend to) and that's 20 players.

That to me would mean we need 4 players in yet.

Good. The vast majority of the names mentioned are nowhere near the level we need, now or in the future, if moving them on allows us to get in 2 or 3 quality additions while creating space in the squad for the youngsters, then it’s absolutely great business for the club.

Cammy Smith and Sow are the only names on that list who may have a future here, and even then I’m sceptical.

If Cammy actually got a run of games he would be totally fine for us.

Agree but only if playing in his proper position.

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

Need to keep the young players involved might be 1 or 2 real gems that can kick on and play in the premier league and make us a lot of money but are the fans patient enough to put up with a few mistakes they will make?

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

We will hopefully replace with better. A bonus to get some cash for Bouhenna.

Would also like to see another 4+ leave before the end of August.

He's failed to break in to not one but two Utd sides in the Championship now.

When he has played he's done very little. Bar one game against Partick Thistle (when he actually played up front).

and your not seeing what he's like in Training, apparently poor

Wardrop also.

I would imagine all them bar M Smith will be on a very decent salary. The problem being is having someone take them.

As someone else has mentioned we could use the Bouhenna fee towards pay offs for a couple of these players.

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

Neither of these 2 any great loss whatsoever.    Outstanding to get any fee for Bouhenna.

Bertie, is any of this actually confirmed, or is it just rumour as things stand?

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

Personally I'd like to see Cammy stay but I dont think he is getting a fair crack of the whip in his natural position. The whole 'poor in training' I find hard to believe tbh but fair enough.

Wardrop is still injured after doing his ACL so I cant see him being released whilst going through his rehab.

M Smith I think yes needs to go and will at some point. 3 younger than him already ahead of him in pecking order. Not good for him. Needs to play.

Until we sign another CB, Frans will stay. Sow wont leave either. Whether people think he should or not is fair enough but I'd be very surprised if we were actively trying to move him on.

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

Cammy Smith reminds me of players like Aiden Nesbitt. Neither were capable of playing anywhere but the ‘10’ position as they don’t have the pace to play out wide, the finishing ability or instincts to play right up top or the engine and graft to play as a centre mid so they are shoe horned into the hole behind the striker.

If he can’t get a game over Nicky Clark in the only position he plays in then he’s as well moving on. What a waste of a transfer fee.

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

I’m no understanding how he doesn’t even get a chance to show what he can do, baffling tbh

In my amateur days I had no pace, couldn't finish, had no instinct, no stamina, nor any graft.
I could have been a brilliant number 10.

Re: Bouhenna + Booth

Happy to get money for Bouhenna and Booth leaving on a free Is a bonus.

Hopefully sort: Matty Smith, Loemba and Aird out with clubs soon.
