Not the one I was in, but I’m pretty sure she just didn’t know what she was doing. 3 tickets, 3 codes to scan all on the same email, got to the 3rd one and said you’ve used that already, it’s the same as the first one.

Same happened with us but just scrolled down to next ain and all OK. Something to do with duplication in the format. I've an option on Samsung phone that duplicated everything x 2 that was even worse so until we all workout best understood way to use our phones I won't get upset.
Easy to pick seats and nae booking fee suits me for these cup games.

It was sorted easy enough (I’m not sure it actually was, but she sent us through) but she seemed to be having problems with every second person.

Think I might’ve been in your queue. Tbf, teething problems were to be expected and hopefully the issues will be ironed out over the first few games before the proper electronic system is installed next summer.

Thing is once we get our season cards you can add cup games to them so even easier for card holders.

No wanting to start any sh1t-strirring.
Thing is I ken a few fowk, that dinna hae mobile phones, some that dinna even hae a computer or are online (got a few Arabs m8s that bide oot the toon in Angus, and their Internet is sh1te at the very best when its working). And if ye dinna hae a printer, yer up the up the creek.
Eg. Ald boyo that suts next to ( he's 85 ). United Suppoorter since 1946. He disna hae a Mobile, a computer or Internet. I've no spoke to him, but how would he get to the gehm. Ken some fowk will say, he could get somedy else to print it for him.
Admittedly a lot oe the fowk I'm speaking aboot are older ( like me ), and its gonna get better we the new Cairds.

He could always go to the shop or the dode fox booth and get a ticket if he went to tannadice last night.

One thing i did think could cause an issue was people buying 2/3+ tickets and having them on the one fone to scan at the gate.

You can screenshot specific tickets then send them to the people who need them. Actually make some situations a lot easier and avoids the whole 'meet ootside the ground' scenario.

This always wont be possible especially if with a family with kids who dont have mobiles

Pretty sure you’d just be able to do what you do at Airports where the adult just swipes through the tickets one by one for them to be scanned?

So the adult has to go into the small turnstyle area get a barcode scanned move out the turnstyle to allow kid to go in. Then get the next ticket and get scanned for themself or another kid.
I always make sure my young lad has his own printed boarding pass to save any hassle.

It’s outdated and just another example of somewhere the club was living in the past. Most clubs have moved towards a fully electronic system because it’s more studied to the 21st century. Of course there was always going to be some teething problems, especially with everyone being in the one stand but people will get used to it. And you can also buy a ticket at the ticket booth so it’s still pretty easy. People moaning for the sake of moaning if you ask me.

Agreed, been a long time coming imo, so much easier when we’ve got our cards, just go online and a game to card etc! Fine it extremely hard to believe that most people these days don’t have internet access, however I do under there will be some but I would think that would be a extremely small number

Initial investment will save the club money and time so staff can be more proactive although gate staff will loose jobs.
Fans mainly without season tickets can buy in advance easily and choose seats easily without paying booking fees.
The crowds might be slightly boosted by buying in advance over bad weather putting some off on the day.
I suspect cash paying fans will still be able to turn up and turn cash into a ticket that can be scanned.
It's a big thing for some families to sit together as well as mates so if that is easy it's going to help more feel like coming.
I hope the club can put out a message in some form that helps those with concerns understand how to work their way intae Tannadice very fkn soon.

As an example, got freends that bide between Douglas and Forfir. They're lucky if they get a week when their phone disna go aff. They've had times when the phones been aff for a week at a time.
Nevermind 5G. Their broadband speed on a good day is 0.5Mb. They canna buy anything online, because it times oot during the transaction. They own a ferm, but the shitey broadband means they canna conduct any oe their business online, so its phones and paper forms.
Report the fault aboot the shitty linespeed no bein 10Mb which is part of their package, and they get telt speed advertised is up to 10Mb - disna mean you'll actually get that.
I've never actually managed to get a mobile signal when I'm at their house. They tell me their neebors, near and far are in pretty much the same boat.
And this is only 15 mile oot oe Dundee.
Its no like they can move their ferm, their house, their business inta Dundee to get better broadband. Honestly guys its absolute shite.
My m8s just been diagnosed we rapidly progressive Parkinsons, so mibbee just as weel he'll no be goin to many mair gehms at Tannadice.
BTW lads, no hae'in a go at anybody on here, never would, just tellin ye how it is for some fowk.
Online!
It's a basic buisiness principle to maximise income and making things available at the click of a button will not only encourage more impulse buys within the stadium, but it's also going to help speed up the turnstiles and aid the financial admin side of things.
And being straight to the point, United are looking to the future here. Most people under the age of 30 live in an almost cashless society and their whole daily routine if planned and prepped online, mainly on their smart phone. Like or not, this is a trend that is heading in one direction.
Now, I understand that we all know people thats circumstances dictate that it'll be more difficult to get tickets online, but surely these people are also encountering other parts of their life that are being driven online and understand that it's not such an uncommon thing nowadays.
The option of paying for a ticket at the GF Stall / Club Shop isn't being taken away so all it means is potentially one more queue (a short one at that) for those who don't have ST's or can't access the online facility for one reason or another.
United have made it clear that they want to get more bums in seats and to enhance the match day experiences. I'm sorry to break it to some of you, but the target demograph to sit in those seats is the younger generation and to do that, you need to speak their language.

I ken m8, no sayin yer wrang. Notice you've mentioned the under 30s, bully for them, but what aboot the over 60s, fowk like me, are we just coffin dodgers. Some oe these boys have put 20, 30 grand inta the Club over the last 40/50 years., Eh ken m8, Ehm ane oe them.
Dinna get me wrang, this Electronic Caird thing 'll be far better than they Ticket Books, Eh'v forgot mine loads oe times. You'll be able to stick yer Plastic Caird it in yer wallet, and keep it there till matchday. Jist hope the Club disna tak it too far too quick, or it might put a few fowk aff.
I've been goin in ah the pubs near the grund over 40 years now, and I ken boys on a Setirday efternane, that'll often say, "Och mon we'll go to the match". Mostly older blokes, and it's no so often you hear it nowadays, I admit, but this might be the death oe it for them.
When ye think aboot it, mind getting to bide up to see them landin on the Moon, the boys in Mission Control speaking to them 250 thoosand miles awa, and here we are 50 year later, and fowk no far oot oe Dundee canna get decent Broadband, or a moble phone signal.
Goodnight lads, see yiz ah on Tuesday nicht.

By your own arguement, bully for you. (I'm in neither group btw).
It's the way of the world. It doesnt mean you cant just rock up to a match - they will still sell but will be a different process. Bet you were a right hoot when we moved to a decimal system for money 😂

Quite the opposite m8, we were taught the decimal system in school aboot 4 years before it was actually introduced, when the 50p replaced the 10 Bob note !
Beh the time they introduced it ( '71 I think ), the kids were experts. It was oor mothers and fathers that couldna make head nor tails oe it.
As I sayed I'm very much in favour oe the new Electronic Cards, it's no afore time, they've had them in Station Park for years.

Quick question for those who have bought online, asking for a friend :
Can PayPal be used to make a ticket purchase?
