Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

Only George fox lower is open on friday and it's all ticket. The booth outside the stand will be open. No cash gates.

Re: Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

George Fox lower holds around 4000? Although the rest of the stadium will be empty it might create a decent atmosphere having everyone in the one stand. Expecting around 3500 maybe?

I'd say 3500 . Problem is if folk dont know its ticket only it could cause a massive queue at the ticket booth delaying entry.

Re: Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

These games failed to break the 2k mark last year. There is definately more optimism this year not that much though.

Re: Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

Maybe they are trying scanners at the gate for one stand only when they know the attendance will be low?

Re: Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

The whole situation with a) the season tickets b) the shop reopening c) the release of the strips d) the work on the ET Stand and closure for games have been a bit of a shambles tbh. Not so much what is happening, the reasons were explained weeks ago, but the lack of any firm timescales and updates on what progress is actually being made.

Fair point, actually.

If they are, fair enough.

If not, nae need.

I get that they are possibly trailing it but my point was meant to try and tell folk they better get them in advance as I'd imagine there will be a bug queue at the dode fox booth.
I did notice though that they are available to buy online and an email will have your ticket on it which you can scan at gate.

I was just offering up a possible reason for the all ticket game for a game that will have a low attendance. Not disagreeing about the supporters needing to know about this upfront. Sorry if my post came across that way.

Re: Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

Very soon there will not be any cash gate at tannadice for any first team game.

Re: Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

New system is good. Easy to pick the seat(s) you want.
Better than the SFA version for Scotland games, much more user friendly as much faster from start to finish.

I take it you just scan your phone with yer order code/barcode(s)?

Re: Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

Think Macho's right, trialing electronic entry?
At Tynie on Friday fans who hadn't bought in advance were moaning (get away!) that they had to queue twice, first to a wee ticket booth & then to the turnstiles.
But as soon as you bought your electronic ticket you swiped it in one of 4 or 5 adjacent turnstiles with no delay at all.
It's the 21st century, we'll get used to it.

Re: Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

For those going up, the ticket Office aren’t able to print any tickets for Friday. Not sure if I didn’t look hard enough but didn’t see this anywhere until I went in today. Got tickets for tomorrow though.

Re: Reminder for Cowdenbeath game.

I’m taking my 6 year old grandson, who’s over from Dubai on holiday, to his first ever united game on Friday. Does anybody know what email address I can contact united at to get his name mentioned at half time as he would be chuffed to bits?

I think its Wednesday that they'll be able to print tickets. I went in today to buy one but the system isn't ready yet. Bought one on line. My gmail account didnt work tho. Had to use another email address. Pretty straight forward.
