John Guidetti's dive

Absolutely disgusting.

It is high time this was stamped out of our game.

'Simulation' (hate that word btw) should be punishable with a straight red card.

That would stamp it out overnight.

The diving prick will get away with it as it's not currently a red card offence and the SFA compliance officer only intervenes when that is the case,if i'm not mistaken.

Re: John Guidetti's dive

I don't think Gomis's tackle was a straight red either. Collum was fucking itching

Re: John Guidetti's dive

Just seen the dive. Oh dear.

Gomis' challenge a yellow but can see why a red issued. Then again, if Brown had done it he wouldn't have been sent off.

Re: John Guidetti's dive

gomis tackle is a yellow all day long 'two feet aff the deck',,,so its a red if you jump for a header?

its a red imo if you going straight into someone...gomis is going in front of broon...not trying to hurt him or protect himself..just jumping in trying to win the ball

collum is a disgrace oh a ref

Re: John Guidetti's dive

the boy guidetti looks more a slip than a dive to me he doesnt even react when he goes down to look for the penalty.

shite refereeing decision

Diving in from the side to block the ball with negligible risk of contact cannae be even a foul imho.

Re: John Guidetti's dive

I can see why the red was given, just can't dive in these days. The key thing seems to be whether it is deemed as dangerous/wreckless or not. The problem with that is that its still seems to be very open to the ref's interpritation of the incident and we still get challenges like this but nothing given. And as LAO said would Brown have recieved the same fate? Doubtful. My main problem with this incident was that the ref should have probably pulled it up prior to that for the petullant and consistant fouling on Gomis which then led to him lashing out a bit. So poor refereeing there. It is up to the player to keep his composure, but poor refereeing has agrievated it.

Penalty was just a shocking decision. A dive or not a dive I'm not sure, but it just should not have been given.
