Good young centre half- Jason Brown. He was solid for Peterhead last season, he reminds me of Craig Halkett now of Hearts.

Neilson mentioned in interview he wants 1 more 'attacker' and another defender. Not sure if King is the attacker but he mentioned his centre forward business is done. Interesting he wants another defender. Centre half?
I'd hope for another CH (among other options).
Don't think Connolly and Reynolds are necessarily as competent as some other fans believe, but hope I'm wrong.
I like Reynolds but not that confident when Connolly plays.

I noticed Safranko’s been playing for Aalborg’s reserves. Obviously they don’t seem to think he’s good enough.
I wonder if there’s a chance to snatch him come the end of the window 🤔
Imagine Shankland and Pav up front...

3-year deal for King. 😬
Big gamble on a 23 year old who’s barely ever played first team football.

Agreed. Expected 2 max. Time will tell.

FFS. Do we ever learn?? Three years right when we're trying to punt guys who were handed the same.

More than happy to give neilson the benefit of doubt, his signings so far have been good apart from one or two, I like the model we’re going for though, say king/shankland are excellent for us, we’ve got the cushion of a extra year so we’ll still get a good price for them however obviously it can go the other way where there Shite and stuck with them
Anyway hopefully he’s better than his brother, arabest Adam

If Neilson’s after another centre half, Joe Shaughnessy’s still not got a club, he’d be a terrific signing for us, would probably be looking for a fairly sizeable wage though. Worth asking the question IMO.

27 too, good age. And likely already lives on the east coast.

That's an interesting one. I like the sound of it. Would be a very good signing.

Hopefully this works out with signing King.
I dont know if 3 year deal is the best though. We seem to love throwing them about.

3 years @ £1k/week = £156k
2 years @ £1.5k/week = £156k
Sometimes suits a player to take the first option.
Family matters/schooling etc.

Never thought about that before.

I’d happily get rid of Frans and Watson to make room for Shaughnessy. Would leave us with 3 very competent centre-halves vying for two positions, with Bouhenna able to move back if required and young Ross Graham perhaps being used in emergencies.

This part of the article I like
He’s an intelligent midfielder, with the ability to play in a central position or in a wide role. The former Hearts kid is a good finisher of the ball, can whip in a decent cross and can play some good passes.

Adam King officially signed for 3 years.

King went to Mansfield on loan directly as Calum Butcher left on loan in early 2018, just as a piece of useless information.

Hearing we’ve made an offer to Stevie May far in excess of what the other clubs in for him are offering.

Has he actually been freed by Brighton?
