Played 2 games in 20 hours... started game with mostly 2nd string team bar 2 or 3.

End of week 2 pre-season with double sessions most of the week.

Hearts and Hibs both lost to Arbroath in the last week. Its not embarassing, its pre season. The point of pre-season is that results mean nothing and its sharpness that counts. We made 9 subs on 70 mins and 12 subs in total throughout the match. Lots of game time and now the real stuff begins next Friday.

I was as unhappy and embarrassed as anyone at the end of last season and the 3 seasons before that, but I tell you what, positivity goes a long way in life, maybe you should try it sometimes.

Didnt post on here for a big chunk of last season but felt quite a bit of positivity as the summer began so began reading and contributing again. Cant go near Mad as every thread is taken over by supreme negativity and personal comments but this forum is usually different. If thats the kind of reply im going to get for trying to think positively about a PRE-SEASON defeat then I'll probably just start swerving this forum tbh.

Thanks though 'Tek' I'll try my best to start focusing on negatives all the time. That will help me massively.

It's just a pre-season game, so i won't be losing any sleep over it. But it's time to cut the shit and stop this attitude of just accepting embarrasing results.

That result today has shown a few up and in that regard probably is a good thing. A reminder to Neilson that there are one or two '1st team squad' players who simply aren't good enough.

Yes, I'm annoyed you felt the need to make a comment about what 'type of Utd fan' I am. Dont see you doing that to many others on this board and not once have you ever engaged with me on here then you make it out I'm some kind of typical poster who is overly positive all the time, please give me examples because I am a very measured fan but tend not to post on here when feeling negative about the club as discussing the bad times doesnt help me get over it, blocking it out for a while does.

Clearly cant post what I want as you decided to call me out for being positive. I'm not proclaiming it was a fantastic result. I'm saying there is some context to the result and big picture is the most important thing. If we go on to fail to get out of Betfred group or something along those lines then yes, alarm bells will be ringing.

Of course forums are all about opinions, so when I post my opinion I'd appreciate in future you constructively disagree instead of commenting on what type of fan I am? Notice I have not mentioned that about you once in this discussion. I have no problem with your opinion on the result and I've put my opinion across.
