Brechin City V's Dundee United - Friday 5th July

Let's stop all this shit about 'friendlies' please, or 'run abouts'.

 4 or 5 please.

Re: Brechin City V's Dundee United - Friday 5th July

Think the first proper 11 we see will be against Hearts.

Hoping to see Sporle and Shankland get game time tomorrow night.

Re: Brechin City V's Dundee United - Friday 5th July

I would like to see a strong line up to start then give the youngstersame some game time off the bench and it would be good to give the new boys the majority of the game.

A nice big win would certainly give everyone confidence ahead of the season starting in 8 days time.

Since its only a friendly why not experiment with a 4132 it would be good to see two up front again.

                      Shankland Clark
           Robson   C.Smith   McMullan
                              Butcher
           Sporle  Reynolds  Connolly L.Smith
                              Seigrist.

Clark or Butcher can be replaced with either Sow or Harkes I guess.   Those who do not get that much time or do not play will be involved at Dumbarton on Saturday I guess.

That should have been the case last week also against East Fife.

Re: Brechin City V's Dundee United - Friday 5th July

Looking forward to this. Does anyone know if there is pay at the gate and best place to park?

Re: Brechin City V's Dundee United - Friday 5th July

Would expect Shankland to only get the last 15 mins on Friday then maybe a bit longer on Sat. Full of week of training in him before Hearts game.

Re: Brechin City V's Dundee United - Friday 5th July

Am I right in saying that it was said the team that finished vs Brechin would start the following day?

Subs on 75 mins, everyone getting 90 over the weekend.

This plan may be scuppered as Dumbarton struggling for a squad. Had to cancel a friendly v Dunfermline due to lack of players but might be rectified by the weekend.

Re: Brechin City V's Dundee United - Friday 5th July

I think we will play Mehmet for the full match of one of the matches.

I also think we will give him a 1 year deal.
