A lesson in making sure auto correct does not alter the original typed word will be heeded after that.  I had typed rhythm originally.

Where it got ruthenium from is beyond me.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

A better second half gives Cameroon a deserved 2-0 win in the end.

Both goals decent but from a defensive aspect poor and avoidable in my opinion.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

No idea how the tournaments been, but delighted Cameroon won tonight, rounded off a 14 team accumulator over that, copa America and women’s World Cup.

Ruthenium sounds like a mineral or some fuel source from a science fiction movie or series.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

It's been a decent start to the Ghana v Benin with Benin taking the lead only for Ghana to equalise shortly after.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

Not seen too many games this year but seems much better than the last few years that I’ve watched.

I wonder if the summer schedule is maybe helping?

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

Nigeria v Guinea kicks off in just under ten minutes so I think I will give a quick prediction of a Nigeria win.

I think that it will be a tight game again with Nigeria winning 2-1 or 1-0 today.

If Nigeria can get the win then I would pretty much assume that's them as good as through even if the other Group B game does not play today given the opening fixture results.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

A goalless first half in what has not been the most interesting 45 minutes if truth be told.

Hopefully better to come second half.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

A one nil win for Nigeria that all but guarantees progress from the group stage.

Not the most attractive game in the world however but an important result for Nigeria though.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

Uganda v Zimbabwe should be an interesting affair.

A victory for Uganda after their fine win on day one could seen them through however that depends on Egypt avoiding defeat to DR Congo later on.

If they wish to avoid going out at the group phase Zimbabwe probably need the 3 points as I don't see a draw being good enough for them.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

1-1 at half time in what has been a decent game and one that is better than the Nigeria game earlier.

Zimbabwe have responded well and have been the better side since going behind andgot a deserved equaliser, although Uganda started well and deservedly took the lead.

Here is a guide to today's games.  The Senegal v Algeria game has to be the pick of them though.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

A good win for Algeria over Senegal 1-0 just there, however I would not say I found it a great game though.

I am not sure who the ref was but he was poor and got quite a few big decisions wrong.

Coming to half time with Kenya v Tanzania and it has been a decent watch with Tanzania 2-1 and there probably could have been more.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

An entertaining 3-2 with for Kenya over Tanzania tonight.  Kenya coming twice from behind to win, I do feel sorry for Tanzania though.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

A decent 1-1 draw between Tunisia and Mali from what I saw as unfortunately I missed a lot of the first half.

According to the commentary Mali had a player double booked but not sent off, very poor by the ref if that is the case.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

Finally catching up with this tournament, and thanks ArabChris for the updates to this point.

Quite variable quality on show: Algeria look good to get to the later stages.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

PatReilly and Arabchanter thank you for the kind words they are very much appreciated.   I apologise for no updates today but I have been out all day on an important matter and will be as well tomorrow so updates will be unlikely so apologies in advance.

Normal service will be resume from Monday although game options will be limited on final group games to choosing one to watch live since I would imagine both games will be same kick off times.

Re: African Cup of Nations 2019

Two 5pm kickoffs today and they are.

Namibia v Ivory Coast.
South Africa v Morocco.

I think I will watch the South Africa game live and record Namibia for watching later.
