3 former players start tonight but no Robbo.
Anything but an absolute hiding could probably be seen as a decent result but Kazakhstan’s result earlier means they’ve jumped us again and we are back down to 4th so could really do with something as unlikely as it may be.

The name Kazakhstan in relation to world football or world whatever is low in terms of respect. More so due to Borat and all that ridicule.
They did play well against us albeit executed their chances well. That result tonight 4-0 is only against another team ridiculed in the world of fitba.
Is there a chance Kazakhborat can take a point or more off Russia and surprise others?
Doubt it but fairly sure they are under rated for ignorant reasons.

That was far from the worst Scotland performance. If Clarke had been in from the start I think we may have got a result in Kazakhstan, a draw that is...

FWIW, Russia beat Kazakhstan 4-0 in Astana the weekend after we lost 3-0.
They are a pretty poor side and their form shows it, the result against us is one bright spot against a back drop of horrible results.
They aren’t quite in the bottom tier of international football (with the likes of San Marino etc) but they are pretty close.
I’m not old enough to remember a lot of bad Scotland results but I still think the Kazakhstan result is our worst in history and I witnessed the 4-0 v Norway in the flesh.

The first goal was entirely preventable too (McTominay should've closed Hazard down), the second was offside and the third just looked like tiredness (and a great finish from a class player). The laddie Taylor at left back did well too. If only we had just one of these players who was a right back. Belguim rivalling the Dutch in 1970's and Brazil 1982 and 86 as the best team never to win anything.
