Re: Tannadice

After having a blether with Bennyboy and a few others last week regarding the state of Tannadice i thought i would bring this thread back whilst we are oit of season.

The steelwork inside the stadium is a total mess
The exterior of all stands needs a good power wash. Alot of the signage in and around needs replaced.

Hand dryers in toilets are a disgrace as is the running water out the taps.

I helped the Display Team clear up on Friday. It's only once you see the place empty and you've got a minute or two to look around that you fully grasp the extent of neglect and the huge task it will be to smarten the place up.

Loads of seats need replaced, EVERYTHING needs a fresh coat of paint, the filthy, faded, cracked, torn and battered adverts will put future sponsors off, the scaffolding between the GF and East Stand looks horrendous, the same two out of date and faded adverts on the side of the East Stand for ArabZONE and hospitality need something fresh in their place... there's reasonable improvements to be made in so many areas. Everywhere you look it's neglected and dog eared.

Outside, just about everything needs fresh paint, the signage is out of date, faded and battered and in general the whole exterior is clinging with dirt and needs a jet wash.

If you disagree, have a wee walk around the exterior of Tannadice if you get a chance.

I was taken aback by the state of the Almondvale last season, one of Scotland's newest grounds. Just because other places are as run down as Tannadice, or more run down than Tannadice, doesn't make the state of our home okay.

I can only mind that being the amalfi!

When I was a lad living in Sandeman Street it was called the Quo Vadis. IIRC the Italian owner was named Cabrelli and was interned during WW2.

Cheers for that I never knew. I used to stay in arklay street and was only ever the amalfi that I knew.

He was interned on the isle of man with my great grandad.

Re: Tannadice

Have thought Tannadice needed some much needed improvements for some time now (about 5 years or so). See link below.

So in complete agreement with BennyBoy's post. And the rest of his rant on Twitter today.

That threads a blast from the last.
Just bumped it as the PA in our area is still brutal.

Also notice you mentioned the hand dryers in 2014!

Re: Tannadice

I’d be happy to muck in with a bit of painting / cleaning

Re: Tannadice

The good thing now that we have new owners they are well aware of the state the ground is in and hopefully they can put some money towards stuff.

Good to see the DUSF contributing with the disabled access. Maybe it would be an idea for the club and the DUSF to work together in other upgrades/painting/cleaning of the stadium?

Re: Tannadice

We need the hand-dryers replaced in the GF, now that Csaba and Thomson have left. There was plenty hot air when they were here.

I remember the days of just pissing against a wall Mr C.

My old man used to tell me about watching games with guys drinking their carry-out on the terracing. Then when nature calls pissing in the said bottle. Said bottles would later be flying at any contentious refereeing decisions from all parts of the terrace.

A lovely day out at the football.

Good to read efforts highlighted by fans are on the go and reaction seems good after previous failings for repetitive requests over a while under failing folk in charge over years & years.

I've never liked the shit the media team have taken, some of it is & has been harsh and they obviously love the United & have done a lot with limited funding. They need educated, helped or replaced.

Online influence is becoming massive and will increase revenue if well executed or continue to stunt it if bad.

Might seem like I'm picking holes in a minor issue I felt Bowers was when I read his post but it's relevant mair than just nippy.

Always get your constructive points across. It helps the club we love.

I'm sure they do, but the timing would suggest a coincidence, or that someone on here knew about the clubs plans before posting...
