The sooner the club ignore these fans groups the better. Boys who run a bus with a jumped up sense of importance. They don’t look out for the interests of all Arabs, they look after themselves.
I’ve missed 3-4 games max this season, I watched us take 5 off Ayr on the day I buried my old man, I queued from 11pm last night, yet I have to watch at home while boys go on their annual day out to watch United cause they’ve got mates who put on a bus.
It fucking stinks. Mal Brannigan was pacing up and down Tannadice Street long before the shop opened. When he saw the amount of people standing in the queue, he should’ve put in place a maximum number of tickets per person, not waiting till they’re sold out to tell people “we’ll learn from this”.

What has it got to do with the fed?
The fed clubs got very little tickets.
I know of people who queued up for 14hours to get tickets for them and mates etc.
The fact of the matter is that nobody single handedly got 306 tickets from the ticket office this morning. Its a made up story.

United could hardly alter their arrangements when Mal Brannigan saw the amount of people standing in the queue, that would then have been unfair on fans who were following the arrangements set in place.
Secondly, the boys who organise our bus are well trusted, well adjusted folk, who aren't doing it for self interest. I'd imagine other clubs are the same.
Finally, the vast majority, possibly 99% of the support in Paisley, will surely be fans who had vouchers, not boys on 'their annual day out'.
It's a huge annoyance when you've put the effort in supporting United and missed out, JD, and I get that, but there are more supporters missing the actual match than going. That would always be the case given the allocation, and that's not the club's fault.
No point in us falling out with each other over it.

What’s more unfair? The cunts lying in their beds no giving a fuck, not getting a ticket cause plans were changed? Or the cunts who queued through the night in the pishing rain no getting tickets?

Personally never planning to go as didn't think I'd have any chance of getting a ticket as not a season ticket holder. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but the club should have limited the number of tickets per person to a sensible number - i.e. not more than a dozen say.
Queueing up all night for f all is not going to endear the club to people even if it is not really the club's fault. Club's like Rangers and Celtic run ballots every week. Given the ticket numbers were always going to be too low (even if it was a doon derby) we could have got this ballot thing sorted long ago. having folk stand in the pishing rain for nothing is so not on. Brannigan doesn't impress.
Edit: Sent this in before reading the statement. Ballot of season ticket holders would have been the way to go.

It definitely would have. And could’ve been implemented at short notice, as I’ve been suggesting since Saturday.

If your going through to Paisley you may as well try your luck at the ground, it’s ticket scanners so I’d imagine 2 people will be able to get through the turnstiles with one ticket.

What about the stewards that stand at them? Do you not think they will be watching for this kind of thing?

Ken what, whatever your thoughts are on the situation - this is probably the best comment Ive seen on it.
The club would have saved a lot more face limiting tickets and ensuring the bulk of the people in the queue got them, than doing what they did.
My son was there fae midnight and was yards from the door when they sold out
...a good pal of his was 10-15 in front and got his tickets...hindsight is a wonderful thing but if my young lad was a bit more savvy, he could have just passed his mate his voucher and fucked off back to bed. Would that have been wrong?

No one went in and got 306 tickets. That's a fact.

Don’t agree folks I think a ballot has quite a few flaws. I go with my family and there is only 2 adults and then 3 kids. Say the 3 wee ones get drawn but neither of the adults do. How are the kids supposed to go on their own.
I still think a loyalty points system works the best and I’m glad to see Mal Brannigan looking into it.

If we're talking commitment to the cause, this season my heart simply hasn't been in it, so I didn't try to get a ticket for Sunday, there's far more guys deserving of a ticket than me.
As I wasn't going to even try and use Voucher P, I never offered it to anyone either as it wouldn't be right, no matter what you think of the system, or how it should work, or how you'd ensure the most loyal of fans get, or whatever you deem is fair, this was the SEASON TICKET HOLDER priority period.
The club could've handled this much better, the system needs to change and I believe that from next season it will.
I personally wouldn't have bought a mate a ticket at the expense of a season ticket holder, regardless of whether that mate has been every game or whether the season ticket holder has been to none.
Rightly or wrongly, that's how it's set up, that's how it's worked for years. The guys that pay their money upfront get this perk.
The system is there to currently exploit, but no matter what the game, what the occasion, unless supply is greater than demand, my mates have to queue and take their chances.
