Compare to last season's play-offs gates -
1/4 final 2nd leg v Pars (after 0-0 in 1st leg at EEP) 7,994
we progressed by 2-1 but strangely for the semi 1st leg v Livi the gate was just 5,610.
We lost that 2-3 then it was 1-1 away.
The attendance at EEP was 4th biggest gate of the season. Aberdeen away in the cup was 11,000 then there were two Derbies with 10,000.
This season to date our biggest gate was in the Sunday ICT cup game, 7,274.
This must be the 1st season since 1909 when we haven't been watched by a five-figure crowd?

I feel for Robbie, he's more desperate than Sow himself to get off the mark.
So does he start him or Clark, it's a gamble he has to take.
Someone said on Mad that persisting with Sow might cost us the play-offs.
But on the contrary it might pave the way to the prem.
Will be interesting to see who starts & I'm glad it's not me who has to make the decision.
Wm Hill has -
Clark 23/20
Safranco 5/4
Sow 29/20
to score at anytime. McMullan is 7/2.
Odds for the match - we're 4/5 Draw 5/4 ICT 4/1
Just wondering, i’m assuming that’s odds of progression rather than winner at 90 minutes mate?

Hardly likely, smedDUm: at the outset in the league system our average gates as Dundee Hibernian in the lower leagues was around 1000-1500 mark, and none of the other sides at that level were supported by huge mobs. And in the 1932-33, as an example, our average was 1535 following relegation, with league champions Hibs averaging 6236. The league opener against them has a crowd listed as ten thousand, but The Scotsman reported a dismal 5,000 following the Edinburgh club's poor seventh place in Division Two the previous season.
In 1937-38, our average was 1385, and generally crowds throughout the 'twenties and 'thirties in Scotland were surprisingly low for some clubs. For three years in a row in the 'twenties, Hearts had the highest average attendances, roughly of between 16-18,000
All this is in my head, never looked it up........

No that's the 90-minute odds mate.
You're maybe coming from the right direction tho cos we're lengthening & they're shortening since this morning.
Now it's Utd 9/10 draw 12/5 ICT 10/3

Oh right, thanks.
I was just surprised that they were 4/1 to win in 90 mins considering how good their away form as been this season.

Having had a think about Robbie Neilson's team selections recently, I think he'll start Sow on Friday, with Clark on the bench again, especially if Safranko is fit.
Yeah to me that makes sense. I would rather have someone coming on later in the game who at least has a bit of confidence in scoring rather than someone looking to break his duck.
Online!
Play the best team from the start.
We need to win this match.
If fit it’s Clark and Safranko for me.
Come on United!!!!!

I hope The Shed is rocking tonight, and all the young and not so young boys get right behind the team from the off, just another wee point, if the Shed has tickets left, why not give them away to local schools so kids can get a wee taster and hopefully get hooked and be tomorrows paying Shedboys, just an idea.

Clark and Safranko for me to.
Sow to break his duck & it's lift-off for the final.
Clark a scoring subbie.

Noting the referee tonight is Kevin Clancy, bringing back memories of his infamous performance in a match between the two clubs in 2013, where he booked almost our entire line up and sent off Nadir Ciftci. Ciftci was then accused of strangling a linesman and the press had him down for something like a 15 game ban.
Did United not release a video which, not to put too much sugar on the incidents, proved the officials were lying? Can't find it online now, but after being proved dishonest, did the referees not get together and threaten a strike, even although they'd been in the wrong?
On another note, big Nadir's side have secured promotion to the Turkish Super League and could win the title tomorrow, with our former player the top scorer.

A genuine confirmation or a taxi driver's confirmation?

Just read in the Courier that Pawlett is a slight injury doubt and Butcher should be ok despite suffering a cut in the game against Inverness,

I'd trust Jerry Dungle over the Courier.

No issues with that. I'm just wondering where he heard that.

Someone speaking to Butcher in the Ferry this morning, told them he was out of tonight’s game.

Bouhenna to slot in if that is the case. They are strong (physically) in centre mid so we can't really afford to go with anyone else if Butcher is out. Although I still think we are lacking a bit in the creativity in the middle. Harkes still holds on to the ball too long and we still haven't found a replacement for Fyvie#1. Stanton is too light for tonight. They've got Polworth missing so they have their issues too.

Cheers. That's a big kick in the baws for us. He is the only midfielder we have with any bite. He'll be a big loss.
So as not to get too disappointed & with all due respect it is Calum Butcher & not Lionel Messi who may or may not be missing tonight.

Might not be Messi but is our most irreplaceable player in terms of what he offers us, especially coming up a team full of caber tossers like Icey Tea.

Aye, and I'm seeing the official site says 'no cash gates' tonight, so I've phoned the club, and after confirming on Wednesday there would be cash gates in the Shed and Lower GF, they've changed their mind, as it's 'very busy'.
Fuming about this, there will be at least 4000 empty seats tonight.
