Friday night football returns to tannadice on friday.
I think there will be a couple of changes to the 1st leg. An early goal for us would be good.
Siegrist
Watson
Reynolds
Connolly
Booth
Harkes
Bouhenna(if Butcher isnt fit)
Mcmullan
Pawlett
Safranko

Exact same team but really thought Connolly struggled last night but can’t see Robbie changing it

I'd be tempted to have Robson on the left wing instead of Pawlett, based on how inconspicuous he was last night

Actually that’s 1 change I’d 100% make, pawlett a bit like sow is so hot and cold

I agree re Connolly thought he was poor. If Butcher can play id put Bouhenna in for Connolly.

Probably too late now, but something Robbie should have tried a bit earlier in the season: Watson for Connolly and Bouhenna at right back? But then there's Butcher's potential absence, or are we worrying about nothing?
Just been informed via ticket office that cash gates will be available for lower George Fox and The Shed.

Ridiculous decision to open the shed from the start of sales imo

Aye, I asked today, when initially being told there would be no cash gates, whether they were expecting a 14,000+ crowd.............. of course, it'll be nowhere near that.

If Butcher isn't fit and Pav is still unwell i'd go with 4-1-4-1.

No, but to be fair, I never asked.

I think that'll be the team. Except Robson at LB and not Booth.
I hope Stanton is on the bench on Friday.
P.s. going for our 3rd televised win in a row lads 👀

Since he came back in under Neilson, Robson has been better, but no danger would I play him at left back, or left midfield ahead of Pawlett.
Caught out badly a few times last night, the opposition still target him and he can't deliver a ball from open play.
If we were 2 or 3 up from last night i'd maybe play him at LM to counter the opposition, but he's not a player I want in my team as an attacking option.

Having had a think about Robbie Neilson's team selections recently, I think he'll start Sow on Friday, with Clark on the bench again, especially if Safranko is fit.

No chance will sow start especially the change Clark when came on, and if sow does start it’s a absolute joke

It may be Clark and Sow if Safranko is not well still

When Sow's been available recently, he's been started ahead of Clark. And, only an opinion mind, he holds the ball up far better than Clark. I suspect RN doesn't really fancy Clark as a player.

Don’t think you can say he doesn’t fancy Clark. He plays him ahead of Cammy smith and Nesbit who were his signings.
He does though rate Sow as goalscorer as the 1 in his 4-2-3-1. A position he doesn’t like playing Clark in. TBF Clark done well adapting in playing just behind and stil scoring
If Safranko not up to playing the would imagine Clark and Sow definitely both play

tbf Nesbitt was atrocious and one that’ll go down as a poor signing and Cammy Smith has struggled with injury since his return and once again it seems like he’ll find it difficult to get a look in because there are better options in front of him.
Sow or Clark, Clark or Sow.
At least we got the option.
Sow is due the big one & when he does it'll light up Tannadice.
It is coming....
Pavol will be ok btw.

I thought that Nesbitt was a no bad player. Good doon the wing, and importantly crossed the ba inta the box, something that we've been lacking a bit of since Andy Robertson's departure. Sure he had 1 or 2 assists for us.
Difficult to be accurate aboot how good or bad he actually is, given that he only made a couple oe starts for us, and came on aff the bench aboot 5 or 6 times. Think he played aboot 30 odd times for Morton IIRC.

His shooting was embarrassing - he generated all the power of a right footed five year old kicking with their left foot.

When though?
I feel for Robbie, he's more desperate than Sow himself to get off the mark.
So does he start him or Clark, it's a gamble he has to take.
Someone said on Mad that persisting with Sow might cost us the play-offs.
But on the contrary it might pave the way to the prem.
Will be interesting to see who starts & I'm glad it's not me who has to make the decision.
Wm Hill has -
Clark 23/20
Safranco 5/4
Sow 29/20
to score at anytime. McMullan is 7/2.
Odds for the match - we're 4/5 Draw 5/4 ICT 4/1
