Siegrest - Some good moments in the game i.e. his save from the lobbed header close to half time. And in general his handling at crosses was solid tonight. One horrendous slashed clearance though that Inverness should have done better with. As it was they dilly-dallied and we got off the hook. 6/10
Watson - Underrated player for us imo. Thought he drove forward well in the 2nd half and linked up with McMullan well. Some good dangerous crosses into the box too. 7/10
Connolly - Thought he was poor tonight. 5/10
Reynolds - Good solid performance. Led the backline well. 7/10
Robson - Was so-so. 6/10
McMullan - Brilliant display tonight full of pace, energy and tenacity. fantastic finish for our goal because that was by no means an easy chance. Becoming a real matchwinner and fans favourite. Quite out of nowhere too. Excellent. 8/10
Harkes - I like the kid and think he is an intelligent player but the game passed him by a bit again. Needs to be more involved on Friday. Particularly offensively. Feel he could/should get forward more. No idea why he never elected to diving header the (sublime) cross McMullan put on a plate for him. 6/10
Butcher - Got stuck in,as per. But felt he looked a bit slow and ponderous at times tonight. I'm thinking he was playing injured all night. Big loss for us if that's him injured now. We will miss his bite in midfield as we have no-one else who offers that. 6/10
Pawlett - Thought he was poor (again) 5/10
Safranko - Wasted out on the left wing. Daft decision playing him when not 100% imo. I hope he feels much better by Friday. 5/10
Sow - He really is an enigma is big Osman.
At times he looked big, strong, a problem for Caley and linked the ball well for us. But at other times he looks like one of the worst players to have ever played for us. His rebound attempt after his (pish) free-kick attempt was laughable. Hits it miles off target with his left foot when it fell perfectly for him to volley on his right foot. Just really weird technique (or lack thereof). No idea why he never jumped for the ball either when Watson put one on a plate for him 2nd half. Looked like he bottled it tbh. Should also have done better with his early chance when he broke through one on one. One other comment, he also looks knackered quite early into matches. He'll be back on the bench on Friday and deservedly so. 6/10
Subs -
Booth - Ok'ish going forward. Ropey at the back 6/10
Clark - Game swung in our favour when he replaced Sow. Should have done better with his chance where he burst through on goal. Could have driven forward another yard or two but seemed to panic and hit it early in his in-step. Great technique however for his shot that hit the post and fell on McMullan's lap. He linked play well I thought. 7/10
Cammy Smith - Should have done better with his chance where he burst through on goal. But much like his 2 striking colleagues Sow and Clark he panicked and elected to hit it early with Caley players bearing down.
A player like a few others that I would like to see more from. 5/10
All in all I am very happy with the win and clean-sheet and would have happily taken the result before kick-off. Slightly disappointed that we couldn't kick-on against their 10 men and get a 2nd though that would have put us in a commanding position for Friday. But maybe I am being greedy. As we were very fortunate not to find ourselves 1 nil down on the night on more than one occasion.
I think we can play better than that and we will have to on Friday because I don't think Caley are done yet by any means. One nil is always a dangerous lead.
P.S. a wee word for the travelling Utd support who were magnificent in their voice and backing of the team for the entire 90 minutes.

Thought we started well then fell out it. Overall far from the best of performances however we take and it onto friday at home. Thought McMullan was brilliant.
1051 travelling fans great effort to those who made the trip.

Felt there were a lot of poor performances tonight, but McMullan was immense.
There were a few players on the park who would toil badly if the club is promoted, unless somehow they can up their games.
Siegrist did reasonably well tonight, a keeper who I've slated often.
Finally, wee Robbo seemed unhappy after the game in interviews, but I think he's 'at it', the crafty wee cunt that he is, trying to build a sense of victim syndrome in his squad. Expect them to come out the traps rapid on Friday.
They are a limited side so I’d be surprised if they came out and went too attacking, the way they play is the reason they have done ok this season.
I think the reason their away form is so much better than their home form is that they can sit in and counter away from home which suits them, whereas at home they are expected to take the initiative when teams sit in up there.
They play percentage football with long balls and a constant barrage of crosses into the box like Livingston did last year and our strongest XI can deal with it but beyond that we struggle (the quarter final for example)
No doubt they’d throw the proverbial kitchen sink at us in the last 15 minutes but until then they’d be happy for us to have a lot of the ball and hit on the counter.

I would give bit more to Benji - excellent apart from bad mistake. Two good saves when feared we might concede
Connolly stood up well and physically he was there though maybe not his best game. Took an obvious sore one for sending off and played on with heart being the man that he is
I’d think maybe Clark for Sow for Friday
May need Bouhenna in for Butcher if he’s properly injured.

That was our 3rd clean sheet of the season (out of 3) at Inverness btw.

Take the 1-0 as it was better than I predicted, but we are garbage. First touch and decision making poor all over the park and I don't think Neilson did much if anything to try to take advantage of the sending off. Hopefully enough to scrape through, but play like that in the final and it'll be derbies for consolation.
Wisnae there so TV angle.
- overall I'm afraid we weren't all that good
- BUT a clean sheet & an away win, what's not to like?
- Sow such an enigma, you can see what he's trying to do but...if he'd buried that first half 1-on-1 but he didn't
- Benji's the Boy. The looping header save was excellent, a lot of goalies would have been floundering
- our CH's were pretty adequate I thought, don't know why Tek gave Connolly a low score
- yeah Butcher is important, ideal for opponents like ICT, feel like he's missing Friday, he looked proper disgusted in closing minutes
- would rather have seen Pavol buzzing about up top but you gotta think Sow has to get off the mark sometime with a big one (at St Mirren in the 2nd leg if we get there?)
- wee Paul getting all the plaudits but a few bad touches at times too. Robbo thought he should have been off for 1) diving & 2) causing a surge!
- Pawlett maybe worth persisting with cos of his potential but a bit limp last nite
- a strong bench last nite led by Clark. Frans a surprise inclusion? Is Stanton injured?
- yes, a 1-0 lead is a dangerous lead but helluva lot better than a 0-1 deficit so let's be happy
- well done the1,050 traveling noisy Arabs. So many hiking up there again at this time of the season is brilliant.

Smed - I'd love it if sow was theis seasons rory boulding.
Does seem to have it - hes a handful, decent pace, decent skill but hasn't hit the net....
Mayne its 1 of those ones if he can break his duck, he will relax and get a few more 🤞

I think Frans was Robbies potential defence change with Bouhenna his midfield change.

John Robertson complaining about McMullan's celebration. What he must have forgot was when they scored the winner against us in the cup, he was celebrating on the pitch.

Got back in the car last night just before his interview.
He really seemed to lose the plot at innocuous things.
He mentioned McMullan diving in the first half but I genuinely have no clue what incident he was talking about.
Agree with your point about the celebration, especially as McMullan didn’t actually interact with the fans, something his players did at Tannadice after their winner.
A lot of seethe coming from the Inverness ranks after last night, long may it continue.
