I renewed a almost as soon as they went on sale.
Dinna ken if anybody's mentioned this already but, the new Electronic Smart Card Season Tickets are no gonna be sent out till the end of July / beginning of August, no matter when you renew, and what payment period you fall into 13th April - 5th May, 6th May - 25th May, 28th May onward.
Thought folk ought to know, if they dinna ken already. Dinna want to stir things up, but thought this is a bit bizarre.
They'll be out before the season starts. They're not ready yet so that's why you cant get one when you go into the shop.

Just to remind anyone that is looking to get at the cheapest price that it ends on Sunday.

That's good to read. If we are kept down it will be a huge thing if we can rally the support in a league with our biggest rivals to keep down whilst they strive for the opposite.

He's probably correct though: miss only one game and the season ticket isn't worth it for an adult, in the calculation I made.
And unless I'm mistaken, a senior citizen saves money going to every game via paying in rather than buying a season ticket.
Somebody at Tannadice has maybe miscalculated........ again, unless it's me that cannae count.
I'm sure somebody will check all the pricing now and put me right!

I haven’t bought mine yet, I will if it turns out I can make nearly every game, waiting to see. But i’ll Only be buying them because of the child price saving, the adult pricing means it’s pointless buying ST’s at this stage.

Pricing doesn't always add up too attendance. Season tickets especially.
If we make good or promising signings that provide hope, that will help.
If we get off to a goid start for once that will help.
The fact we are in a league with oor biggest rivals will have an effect mair than folk calculating the difference between types of ways to be there I'm sure.
This season is for sure the biggest since we were relegated and that's without the so called threat of admin or going bust supposedly.
Folk can carry fkn coffins to each ground all they like. Get behind United this season PATG or ST I don't worry so much as previously as I'm sure we will have the best squad so far in this league and the biggest desire to go up from the fans.
If we go up this time It'll be a fine time to do it and those over the road can think deeper about 6ft doon!
Time for the new owners to be serious about investment in a way that surprises themselves in the way they say the are surprised by how they feel about us after such a short period.

Haha. Just being realistic though obviously I hope I'm wrong and we sell another 1000 at least.

Think a lot of people who can afford to purchase a season ticket do so as a gesture of good faith and to help the clubs budget rather than due to the economical benefits, especially in the championship.
Mark Ogren appears to have invested a lot of money into the club already so I would’ve been happy to part with a bit extra this summer for my season ticket in return.

£390 now isn’t it?
The club really need to promote the monthly payment plan now as an attractive option.

Agree. That is one way that would help season ticket sales imo.

I just hope Mark Ogren doesn’t think he will get 10,000 regularly turning up at home games. He’s in for a huge shock if he does.

He's not daft mate. I think he knows that if we build a squad that dominates the championship and gives teams hidings every week then we'll maybe see crowds of 7000 through the gates?
If we dominate the c'ship & give teams a hiding every week, if it's as good as that, we could get 8,000.
If we stay in the top two & are better than we have been for 3 seasons we should get 6,000.
Gonna need a goalscorer tho.

Might be a fairly tenuous link but Hibs were getting 4-figure crowds for a few years before relegation and even in their first two seasons in the second tier their crowds were poor (finished 3rd both years.)
Winning the cup and then being the best team in the league and winning most games seemed to really galvanise the support and their title winning season saw their best home games in years and they got a good boost in ST sales when they were promoted due to the feel good factor.
I think something similar happened at St Mirren when they won the league and it shows that a winning team can bring out the numbers.

To go against the grain, don't really agree with the three comments above, although I admire the optimism.
Think it'll take a lot to get fans back trusting the club.
And regarding Hibs, Kingdomarab, I think your analysis and figures are a wee bit askew.
I'd be very happy to be wrong about potential crowds, of course.

You may well be right, it was just off the top of my head and didn’t look at the figures, I just remember them having extremely sparse crowds and once they returned to the top flight they were getting close to a sell out in most games. I also think the cup one was a major contributing factor as well as the appointment of a highly thought of (certainly at the time) manager in Neil Lennon.
I’ll try to look later to see if I can (dis)prove this.

Kingdomarab, Hibs had average crowds around the ten thousand mark for a number of seasons, no matter which league they were in, until they won the cup, then the attendances shot up by several thousands. The Easter Road average crowd was impressive when they won the Championship, but that was in the season after the cup victory. So I agree with you here>
kingdomarab wrote:

I'd be very happy if we followed a similar path in winning the cup and adding thousands onto our average crowds, but can't see it.
St Mirren only had the fourth largest average in the season they won the Championship, and in the season just ended they added on just 900 to their home crowds in a far better attended league.
But to be in agreement with all of you, a winning side will bring in larger crowds than a losing team.
