Aye, and now it's an all Zionist semi final.
Back on topic, here are aspects which gets me.
And older gentleman, maybe my age, can watch QoS v United for a tenner, and the Pars v United for £12, but as an example, if we play them next season, United v the Pars or Qos will cost £24.
Over and above this, although it's welcome that United are utilising scanners and cards next season, some 'older gentlemen' don't use online banking or phones for cash, and although we should all move into the 'nineties, the elderly don't always embrace change.
It feels to me as though United are marginalising sections of the support.

I'm sure there will be a facility where you can buy a ticket on the day with a barcode on it.
While older gentlemen (and women) do not always embrace change they better get used to it because eventually it will be a cashless society we live in.
Maybe in 2 years the new turnstiles should have chip and pin facilities. I was going to say contactless but in 2 years it will probably be over £30 to get in anyway.

A few teams now have an online buying facility that you can pay online and select print at home collect at ticket office or scan on your phone.

Dunno: a sizeable group of supporters being asked to pay double to watch the same teams compete, depending on venue, is not really 'very little'. Probably an anomaly which hasn't been considered much.
The SPFL should provide definitive instructions regarding these peculiar deviations, but I know that's asking too much.

I did, but it was taken off me one season for taking my mead outside onto the ramparts to watch the gallant knights.

Ken boys that work ah week and that winna be able to come in during the week to get a ticket, so will hae to PATG. Some oe them work a good few Saturdays so its no really worth their while getting a ST. Dinna think it's fair they're gonna be forking oot 26 quid for the privilege.
Dare I say it, but it's like they're trying to discourage PATG. (or even do away we it). Surely that's no what they've got in mind. Canna believe 26 quid for a Championship gehm.
I agree with you. This could backfire quite badly for the club for a number of reasons:
1) The so called "coffin dodgers" pretty well are the majority and have been supporting the club since the 1970s or before. They know "the product" is pretty crap.
2) As has been said, there are plenty of fans who live in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen or overseas, like myself, who feel we are being discriminated against.
3) Personally, whether I'm buying a car, kitchen or gym membership, if someone tells me I'll only get the discount if I buy that day, I walk away. Unfortunately, nowadays, pretty well everything is negotiable.
I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar, that if attendances drop, then the PATG prices will miraculously drop or there will be some other promotion.
Lastly, has it occurred to anyone, that Ogren has told Brannigan et al, they they better raise some cash to pay for burgeoning backroom staff?

The coffin Dodgers was tongue in cheek. I'm nae spring chicken myself.
Yer not being discriminated against. It's the same for locals.
Ticket prices arnt negotiable.
Prices drop when we are doing well too. Happened for years.
You think he was going to pay for it all himself ?

Anyone who doesn't buy a season ticket (irrespective of where they live) is being forced to pay a hefty premium. Is there some sort of hierarchy of supporter?
I never suggested, implied nor inferred that Ogren should pay everything himself. I do think in order to maximise revenue, you need a much more flexible approach.

Of course theres not. I've already stated in this thread that the patg prices are far too high. You stated out of towners are being discriminated against. I said so are locals.
I'm not disagreeing. I think ogrens making a big mistake agreeing these patg prices. I'm saying he maybe doesn't understand pricing over here.
What's worrying for me tho is the slg had an input in this. I'd hope they didnt give their blessing to these prices.

Finance deal now in place
Good bit of business - saves the club paying these companies for their services.
I guess of a supporter stops paying for some reason then the club can block the electronic card or less risk to the club

That payment plan is absolutely fucking shite.
I've got my ST on the Zebra deal for the past 4 seasons. I do it so I'm not skint for the summer and can spread my payment over a year. With this I'll be fucking potless for 6 months. Fuck that.

No. Better imo. Ok the payments are slightly higher as I'm sure utd want the money in asap. 6 payments instead of 10 and works out £5 odd cheaper than zebra.
And no one will get a knock back if they've bad credit.

The first payment which i have seen some complain about has to be right away? And it is £83?
I club have maybe struggled with trying to get a finance company with so low cost to fans so quickly and have taken the gamble to do it this way to help as many supporters as possible.
If the clubs deal isnt good enough maybe people who can make the payments and are wanting one can look at a small loan from a bank etc?
With an interest rate on top of course.

I renewed a almost as soon as they went on sale.
Dinna ken if anybody's mentioned this already but, the new Electronic Smart Card Season Tickets are no gonna be sent out till the end of July / beginning of August, no matter when you renew, and what payment period you fall into 13th April - 5th May, 6th May - 25th May, 28th May onward.
Thought folk ought to know, if they dinna ken already. Dinna want to stir things up, but thought this is a bit bizarre.

Direct debit £25-£30 a month all year. Pay a bit extra but spread all year would suit me, would also prob stop some folk not renewing each summer.
