Would anyone take McDaid from Ayr?
He's not signed a new deal yet.
Definitely. Good player.

Watson is an average CH and a poor right back. Mcdaid caused him very few problems last night.
He would not get in before Pawlett or Mcmullan so no point in signing squad players.

Pawlett was anonymous last night.
Do we write him of going by one match also?

Pawlett had a poor match last night no doubt about that, he is far more effective playing in the middle. Agreed i havent seen much of Mcdaid however im in doubt Pawlett is a far more talented player than Mcdaid.
Our ever increasing backroom staff will have a list of targets for next season, I doubt Mcdaids on it.

Ayr fan I know says he plays well against us but is pretty poor/inconsistent against everyone else. Think that says more about the poor quality of our full backs than anything else.

A few random thoughts...
Sow offered something different & it augurs well.
I was concerned re his early booking, getting him subbed saved a 2nd booking?
Game was energised after 60 mins with the double substitution, well done Neilson.
McMullan a blast from the past, a winger who dribbles past a defender, he's improving every game.
Robson's tenacity is excellent, what about that 50/50 challenge on 85 mins?!
Our central defence was very good but we could probably do with a couple of full backs.
Harkes is an athlete, a couple of mis-placed passes. The 'support' was quick to tell him too, well done, great encouragement for a young guy from the USA.
Solid performance from Siegrist, the goal was down to Watson not being goalside of Bell. Benji handled well throughout.
Butcher good in the centre circle, did far more good than bad.
Pawlett better than being given credit for on here, always good to see him on the ball, positive player with some rare skills.

Great result last night, let's just take the positives out of it and have rare but welcome stress free weekend.

Well what was a sh1t start to the evening ended we me on the celebratory p1ss until then small hours.
We started the best for the 1st 10-12 mins or so, then the game evened out into a dull half. Shouts of Aaaaaargh efter 5 mins as Sow shot to the right of the post. Wisna lang efter that Sow was bundled doon in the 6 yard area. Thought it was a Pen.
B@astard when Sow is affiside. He fell on his erse and wisna quick enough getting back up to his feet when Booth battered the ba toward him, but the flag was up.
For their goal, whar the phuck was Watson and Connolly when the cross came in? I thought Benji was out of position, he was aff his line, mibbee too far to the left, and he couldna reach the ba.
Just afore the break McMullan had a good effort coming into the right of the box and making a good shot but it was just into the side netting to the right.
Harkes musta lost the ba aboot 4 or 5 times we sloppy passes and poor control but he was to redeem himsell in the 2nd half.
There was a bit mare fire in the gut in the 2nd half, but the gehm was to cheenge for the better when Clark and Safranko came on.
Harkes redeemed himsell for ah his mistakes in the 1st half, the ba came oot to him on the right, he made a fine cross in, Watson haeded it on and Safranko chests it doon, pirouettes on the 6-yards and burst the net. The move and the goal were Top Class.
A passback to the Ayr keeper fae his left-back, but he's on the 18 yard line, and he's put under pressure fae Pavol. He tried to play the ba straight back to his left-back, but McMullan ran thru and collected the ba. Ayr keeper was well aff his line, and abody roaring, McMullan hung onto the ba, kept running inta the right oe the box and fired the ba passed the keeper inta the far left of the goal. Once again great individual play by Pavol and McMullan.
MOTM for me McMullan. He ran himsell into the ground. Sow was well Sow-so. Still wondering why Nesbitt's no getting a gehm.

McMullen looked a tad faster and more confident last night.
