Look to have scored another massive own goal with the United support with the email they have sent to the Dundee United Supporters Foundation and The ArabArchive in regards to a post yesterday on social media in remembrance of the anniversary of the death of the founder of our club Pat Reilly.

Several arabs have taken to social media over this and many are now withdrawing their support to arabtrust.

The email has been sent from Mike Barile.
I write to you about potential infringement of the Dundee Hibernian trademark and attach a recent social media screenshot that uses our logo as evidence.

This is an informal notice simply to bring to your attention that ArabTRUST are the current registered holders of the Dundee Hibernian trademark with the Intellectual Property Office (UK00002478643)and we wish to highlight that any organisation who have products or services that use the trademark without our authorisation will be in breach of our trading rights and open to action that may result in civil legal proceedings.

I therefore kindly request that you remove any unauthorised posts or reproductions from all social media sites, media platforms, websites and published literature.

As a way forward, please note we are always open to negotiate future trading deals including a variety of partnership arrangements. In this kind of scenario we’d probably accept a simple acknowledgement e.g. “reproduced by kind permission of ArabTRUST”.

Bowers, there's a guy who produces stuff (scarves, pennants) and sells these as Dundee Hibernian memorabilia , not really based on any sound historical footing, in my view, either.

Please tell me, that's not Mr Barile, is it?

Still trying to cause division amongst the support at a time when the damage of the last few years is being repaired.

Hope Mal Brannagan and Tony take note and keep this troublemaking shitehouse as far away from Tannadice as possible.

Never put any money into the trust and never will. No intention of indulging the ego trips of a bunch of lanyard-wearing hangers on.

Arabnotrust are in the process of buying it from Bob McPherson.

Over ten years ago, 'someone' received this from Bob McPherson (email available):

I write to you as the sole director of The Dundee Hibernian Football and Athletic Company and also the sole owner of the Dundee Hibernian logo which you are using on this forum.As a United supporter I have permitted only the ArabTRUST to use the Dundee Hibernian logo in order to assist them sell DH badges and thus boost Trust funds.You have [i]not been given that authority - not has anyone else.[/i]I would therefore ask you to cease using your corrupted version of my logo with immediate effect - or discuss with me how you can use the proper DH badge - but only on condition that all your future postings on this site direct people to the ArabTRUST site to assist in their fund-raising efforts for Dundee United.

Barile has form for this type of nonsense.

I helped a boy on Twitter design some DUFC mugs/pint tumblers. Think the guy only made a handful. He wasn't in it to make money (well not a lot of money anyway...beer money at best).

As soon as they were getting retweeted etc Barile was on the case lambasting the guy for infringing copyright etc.

Pathetic stuff.

Maybe we should all change our avatars on message boards, twitter, facebook and any other social media outlets to the Dundee Hibs logo, in a "I'm Spartacus" kinda deal.

To pull up united organisations over this is simply absurd and sucks even more support from an unfortunately ebbing force due to some bizarre episodes, that in all honesty seem to emanate from the same source.

Barile is simply clinging on to United to protect his lanyard and to have his odd minutes in the media, it would be very interesting to know when this moron actually last paid into Tannadice, he's an embarrassment that the club could do without.
As for ArabTrust if they can't see the damage he is doing to them then they deserve all they get.

The Arab trust comittee must be full of idiot's too scared to question his actions or they are all just as bad as him. Either way Arab trust are a laughing stock and being associated with him does him no favours.

Seen quite a few on social media saying they have cancelled or going to cancel after this.

Seemingly they are making a statement tonight. They are sticking to their guns apparently and it was a committee decision.

There is also a mention of other fans groups ganging up on AT at the SLG. Utd fans groups at each others throats as usual. I'd do away with the whole lot of them tbh.
