Rcfc v Dundee Utd 5/4/19

Fridays match can be make or break for us in the title race dependent on how they get on tonight. All we can do is go up to Dingwall and take 3 points and see what happens. I cant help think that saturdays defeat for us was another nail in the automatic promotion coffin. Hopefully im wrong.
Neilson said last week Connolly and Sow both fit but neither was involved saturday against QOTS so i expect both to be on the bench friday.

Your line up?

Siegrist
Seaman
Reynolds
Bouhenna
Booth
Pawlett
Harkes
Butcher
Robson
Clark
Safranko

Re: Rcfc v Dundee Utd 5/4/19

I'd be looking for Watson to be playing in central defence, with Bouhenna right back.

A few other alterations I'd make too, with a view to the play-offs.

County looked a bit shaky at set-pieces tonight. So I think i'd play Watson too for his height and goalscoring threat at corners etc.

……………...…….Laidlaw...………….

…..Pawlett….Butcher...Harkes...Robson
……………......Clark.....Safranko….

Subs - Siegrest, Bouhenna, Seaman

Like I said, central defence for Watson, we have to have a settled partnership playing together and understanding each other for the play-offs. Our two full backs are 'lacking' presently, so I'd be trying Bouhenna on the right, unfortunately we have to stick with Booth left if Robson is providing support on that side.

And Laidlaw deserves a run, recalling what happened to Deniz in the play-offs last season.

For all the goals Clark has got recently, I'd also be trying Sow again instead.

Not denying that we don't have a settled team/know what our best starting lineup is but is now the time for experiments?
Or would we just be rotating our squad?
I wish it was the latter & not just Robbie feeling about in the dark.

What we have just now doesn't work well (in my opinion).

Watson is our best centre half, and provides a set piece goal threat (again, my opinion).

Bouhenna is too laid back to be a centre half (see his efforts again at both goals on Saturday as examples).

We need more goals (Sow used to be a goalscorer, Robbie must have brought him here for that reason).

Seigrest........? We'll have to agree to differ on him.

I'd love to see s fit Sow in a Utd jersey too.

But absolutely not in place of Nicky Clark (not whilst we still have something to play for any roads).

Supposedly Booth, Bouhenna and Sow (surprise surprise) were absent from today's training.

7 goals in 10 for Clark. He shouldn’t be dropped.
He shouldn’t be used in behind a striker though

I reckon this will be the team but with Benji in goal.

If booth is injured then Robson will drop back to LB. Mcmullan or Stanton I reckon would then come in. I still have nightmares of Stanton playing out there at Ayr though!

Against physical side with height RN has said before he looks to play Watson and match them up.

RN called this biggest match of season. Let’s hope players can put in a special performance

Wasn't he in front of the striker on these scoring occasions?
He's not necessarily a poacher.

Re: Rcfc v Dundee Utd 5/4/19

Noticed the club appealed Logan Chalmers red card for the reserves (and had it rescinded).

Wonder if that's with a view to him being on the bench tonight?

If Sow's injured we have have very little options.
