Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. ...

I think this is a good move for United.
2 years with a 1 year option might have been a bit better, but let’s hope that with a real pre season and to properly get over his awful injury, he can be the marshall at the back we’ve sorely missed.
Maybe I should just say he’s shite then when he turns out to be, I can say I was right. Cause being right is all that matters. That last sentence: what is it supposed to mean? Do you really think that some United fans are saying Reynolds is 'shite' on this forum, for I haven't seen that? Or are you implying that some fans want players, in this case Mark Reynolds, to fail?
From my point of view (which I thought was one of the purposes of Tek's forum, to express opinions), I am doubtful the club will get three years value out of MR, who, again in my opinion, hasn't stood out as so much better than others in his position.
Some have disagreed with that opinion, and pointed out that he is an organiser, and has been very good in certain matches. And that's what a supporters' forum is all about, again, in my opinion.
That last bit was aimed at the Arabs, mainly on social media, that will automatically go to ‘hes shite, this is a bad move, we’re gonna get pumped’ etc. There’s no ‘let’s wait & see’ from them.
And the second they’re proved right, they’ll remind you. It’s the attitude more than anything. Like being correct is the most important to them.
I don’t really think that some Arabs want United to fail, but you sometimes wonder when you could set your watch by their reactions.
Reynolds has only played 9 games and we apparently had a deal in place in the summer for him so he’s well thought of. You may well be right with not getting 3 valuable years out of him however I’m glad he’s here permanently.

Thanks, MockChop. I'm assuming (!) that these supporters are on Facebook and Twitter, which I mostly avoid.
And to reiterate, I want Mark Reynolds to do well: he's a bright lad, and as has been pointed out to me an organiser, maybe the right sort to have on and off the park.
From a football family too, his dad was, maybe still is, child protection officer at Motherwell, and used to be Eddie Hunter's assistant at Queen's Park. I think he was also an English teacher at some point, but that's not really relevant. However, when Mark was young, he had the choice of many football clubs, and many universities, underlining his abilities are not limited to the football pitch.
