RN was let down by his strikers today the team formation, shape ,tactics whatever you want to call it allowed us to dominate the match and create numerous chances.
Stanton should have clipped Dobbies heels in the build up to the penalty.

Re: Dundee Utd v QOTS 30/03/19

It's not just today though is it?
We've had several chances to narrow the gap and blown nearly every one of them.

I so much want Robbie to be the one who brings us success. But in most of the games I've seen we've lacked cohesion, pace, width and real dangerous goal threat. That's 4 things that you need at least 2/3 of to be champions. Playing Clark, our best goals chance at 10 in a 4231 is just mental, especially in this league

I think we might - just - get up through the playoffs, but .

Re: Dundee Utd v QOTS 30/03/19

Well I am phucking seek if I'm honest. Eh am phuckin bamboozled  how we didna win this gehm. Dominating maist oe the phucking gehm and getting phuck-all for it. For the first fehv or 6 mins, they had us pretty much hemmed in oor ain half, but ken what, that wiz the only the bad thing aboot the 1st half. No lang efter, we had the majority oe the 1st half, and a 15 min spell where we had Queens penned inta their ain box FFS. Canna believe we were'na 3 or 4 up at half-time.

Thon clusterphuck fae Siegrist chesting the ba to Reynolds, laevin the boy a shot on open goal, was the portend oe things to come.

An opportunity to go tap efter Aloha went 1 up - the place was buzzin, but it seems, when it comes to the crunch we just canna hake it. Is it attitude or what? Here's an example. Near the end we got a free-kick at the half-weh line. Booth's takin it. You'd think abody up, Booth to launch it right inta the box, but no. It goes backardies to Reynolds, then to Bouhenna, then back to Reynolds, then back to Booth wha losses possesion.

Finishing was the main let-down, couldna convert enough oe them, some due to bad luck (well the post, over the bar, their keeper, and off target) Gie their keeper his due. He made some brah saves. The double ane fae McMullan and Pavol to name but a few, but 15 phuckin coarners and not 1 phuckin goal fae any oe them FFS.

Once again, how the phuck was Nesbitt no on for Robson.

Queens have'na won in Echt gehms. How phuckin ironic is it that Laurie Ellis went there 9 days ago.

Seekin yer phuckin erse so it wid.

Re: Dundee Utd v QOTS 30/03/19

If Safranko had heedered in fae 3 yards or the cross fae McMullen wiznae so pacey and instead of trying tae chest it in went with his heed and if Clark managed tae get the ball in at the left post or the ref gave us 1 of 2 penalty claims the 2nd half, result, feeling about the whole thing would be so different.

Gutted.

Thank fuck County lost.

We won’t finish outside top 2

No one has ever called him the messiah, ridiculous to even say that but to say the manager should be in doubt after today is ridiculous

Re: Dundee Utd v QOTS 30/03/19

Didnt see any of the game as away for the weekend. However seems like we totally dominated the majority of the match.
How many chances do we need we just cant fucking score at times. Finishing has been horrific for weeks and weeks.

Yesterday was a massive chance for us in the title race with County loosing and once again we bottle it.

And he needs to get some winners into that team.

The boys right though. Both Ayr and ICT gained ground on us yesterday. Next 3 games are Ross County, Ayr and ICT. I for one don't have much confidence in Him steering us through these fixtures safely.

Re: Dundee Utd v QOTS 30/03/19

Just watched the highlights on arabzone.
Some amount of chances and once again we shot ourselves in the foot with not being able to score as has been the case in so many games recently.

Safrankos shot that he hits softly right at keeper is ridiculous after Mcmullans shot he should have burst the net.

Pawletts free kick how the fuck the keeper gets that just sums up our luck.

Great header from Clark for our goal.

Qots 2nd right through keepers legs. Poor

Arabzone quality is poor still what happened to this new camera they got from paint tec and arabtrust a few month back?
Burst of sound around the 17 minute mark on the highlights what the fucks that all about?
And they showed the line ups from the Alloa game at the start. Its total amateur as fuck.

Leaving aside playing Safranko as the lone striker, or any other round peg in square holes, I had a wee look back to the changes in playing personnel at the club over the past three months, given Robbie's comments about players not being good enough after the defeat at Alloa. 29th December 2018, Alloa 2 Dundee United 1

  • 1Siegrist
  • 2Murdoch
  • 44Watson
  • 4Frans
  • 3Booth
  • 19Bouhenna
  • 12Stanton
  • 7McMullan
  • 11King (Aird)
  • 9Curran
  • 14Safranko

Substitutes

  • 16Smith
  • 17Robson
  • 20Rabitsch
  • 24Edjenguele
  • 32Glass
  • 33Aird
  • 34Rakovan

Dundee United manager Robbie Neilson, after the match: "That was not acceptable for this club. We just crumbled and that is not good enough.
"I knew when I came in we had to get to January then do some things and that just proved that personnel changes have to be made. I have targets I'd like to get in before Saturday."

January signings:
Aidan Nesbitt
Cammy Smith
Morgaro Gomis
Ian Harkes
Ross Laidlaw
Charlie Seaman
Peter Pawlett
Calum Butcher
Mark Connolly
Mark Reynolds
Osman Sow

30th March 2019 Dundee United 1 QoS 2

For all the new lads brought in (eleven), only three started on Saturday, which indicates, to me, that his own signings are, in the main, not favoured by the manager.

And another thing: in both these defeats, we've not used substitutions fully to replace tired/unlucky/hesitant performers.

Agree on Harkes but Pawlett still nursing an injury according to RN.
Robson was friar tucked from about 70m on and still no sign of Nesbitt i think tells us RN despite signing him realises he is shite

Re: Dundee Utd v QOTS 30/03/19

Just watched the goals lost for the first time on video.

Dearie me: letting a 36 yo run right through the centre of the team after Stanton miskicked (and should have got a challenge in, as should a few others), then again Seaman miskicks for the second and watches his man take a leisurely run away from him to score from a Dobbie flick............ through the goalies legs.

We give too much space on each occasion, standing off players. Far too soft.

Lookin at the footage I was wrong that Śafranko tried tae chest in instead of heeder fae McMullen's cross.

Feel for him a wee bit mair seeing the lot.

My view is low in the East Stand Lower. Couldn't really see up the Shed end to pass an opinion.

The importance of the win that was a defeat   sit's larger on Śafranko as far as dissapointment goes in a way.

He was a mixture of nearly a hero, unlucky & a bit pish & had a Shedload of chances.

Maybe deserves some credit for getting himself in positions that didn't happen.

Hope tae fuck the last games have him accredited with what his effort deserves.

Re: Dundee Utd v QOTS 30/03/19

Not saying Siegrest is to blame for Saturday (he isn't), but, how many penalties is that that's been blasted by him this season now? Must be into double figures.

Megged for the second as well.

He's just not very good and the signing of Ross Laidlaw (and his complete un-involvement) seems more and more bizarre by the week.

Must have been 4 sitters?

He does so much hard work gets into some fantastic positions etc but converting has been horrific recently.

I've heard he's ****ing brilliant.
Depends who you listen to doesn't it?
Actually I didn't hear he was ****ing brilliant.
I didn't hear anything, I just made that up.
But it's so predictable posting the default 'eh heard he wiz brutal' line about every new signing really.
Obviously nobody told Robbie that he was brutal.
