The lad is earning some cash. He has views on Sevco, He's probably got a bit of a tax bill to pay...
Did other clubs moan when Maurice Malpas was asked his views on United while part of the other clubs managerial team? No.
We're becoming as bad as them. McCulloch is our employee, we don't own him.

Agreed, spot on.

That's a bit odd: if it had been Sunday, no issues with that, but Saturday, 2pm in Blackpool? It looks like he's missing our Saturday 3pm kick off, which I thought might have been his priority.

If we were turning teams over 3/5-0 this wouldn’t be an issue just excuses tbh, but if certain teams or folk hate us I can see why you question them being at United to me this just seems like fake news.

This was my first thought.
Though doing a bit of research the match is for a host of very worthwile charities and McCulloch has been committed to it and helping to promote it for over a year.

For all the negative comments McCulloch's had, i thought it was only fair to post this.
Interesting comments from Šafranko. Says although Lee McCulloch has only been at the club for 2 or 3 months, he feels like he has helped his game more than anyone else in 20 years.

That's a fair compliment. McCulloch is a winner - hated him as a player - would have loved him at Tannadice.
So let's get off the guys back and accept that he is contracted to us to download his football knowledge and nothing else.

Sadly, I can't see that happening. Some people on here have a blind hatred of the boy and are desperate for him to be sacked for even the slightest thing. It's quite depressing really. I thought our support was better than that.
I wonder if these boys did the same thing when Charlie Miller played for us?

If Lee is on the contract as shedboy mentions below, then no-one can have an issue with him taking part in previously arranged commitments, surely:

From what I hear he has been brought in as a contractor consultant type for training. Is a bit strange but dont think he is a long term appointment anyway.
Regarding his former Ibrox connections, employing folk in management with strong Tannadice links hasn't really gone well for us over the years, has it?

Or many others, Iain Ferguson, Davie Wilson, Ian Redford, Doug Houston, Alex Reid, and maybe the best and unluckiest of all, Iain McDonald.

I couldn't care who he (or anyone else) played for previously.
As long as those employed by United do what is best for the club, then I don't have any issues with their playing or supporting history.
Unless its Nacho Novo or Derek Riordan. I can't stand those wee rats.

The players become shot shy.
McCulloch gets slaughtered.
Keeper makes regular mistakes.
Neil Alexander never mentioned.

I think a few fans were selectively critical of Lee McCulloch's involvement as he has an Ibrox past, MockChop.
The only evidence we have of his involvement, positive or negative, is Pavol Safranko's praise of his influence. So I'm happy to go along with that.
