Half Time -

1-0 Utd.

Big second half performance needed.

We need a 2nd goal.

Re: Dundee United v Ross County - Tuesday 19th March (7.45pm)

Change in personnel and more direct style spooked county early on but after the first 25/20 they've come back in (albeit without doing much)

Reckon they'll use HT to adapt more plus we'll tire.

Hopefully we will hang on but honestly I just can't see it.

Re: Dundee United v Ross County - Tuesday 19th March (7.45pm)

Vital win that keeps us alive in the title race.

Neilson deserves praise tonight as that line-up raised several eyebrows prior to kick-off (mines included), but it's paid off.

Tonight means nothing however if we don't go and beat Alloa on Saturday.

Watched it on Arabzone out here. complete shite quality and the commentary was ahead of the stream.

Not the best of games or performance but we take the win.

Have to say I was wrong on the tiring thing and thought County ran out of steam at the end.

Great shifts from Mcmullan and Robson.

Pawlett disappointing as usual and Smith made a real difference when on for him.

Agtee re mcmullan and Robson. Thought they done really well. Reynolds too.

I actually enjoyed the game. It wasn't fast free flowing football but there was plenty blood and thunder. Got the crowd going a wee bit.

Re: Dundee United v Ross County - Tuesday 19th March (7.45pm)

I enjoyed it tonight.

Important thing was the win.

Robson, Butcher and McMullan were our best players

Matched Ross County physically and we looked pretty comfortable. Shape actually worked well tonight when Smith was on all front 4 were chasing everything down

Keeps the slim chance of automatic promotion alive

Does anyone have any e-mail or any other contact for someone who can sort this shit out, my mate who lives in England is going apoplectic (he's also kept correspondence from our esteemed communications officer, that need addressed) seemingly no audio from the start of the match 'til well into the first half, like he said you could just about tolerate  a break down during the match, but to be fucked up from the start is not fucking on, don't they run checks before the games? I know some of the boys are volunteers, but there is boys on the payroll who should be making sure this is good to go.

If anyone has any contact I can pass on and to be honest will probably use myself as I've been on the arse end of this so called service, please let me know, even PM me.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Dundee United v Ross County - Tuesday 19th March (7.45pm)

Have we maybe turned a corner on the put out a physical team to match a physical team approach?  Kept RC to 2 shots on target according to BBC although others have the goalie making 3/4 good saves.
Congrats to him, clean sheet against a team scoring for fun - maybe that will cut him a little slack for a game (or a half).

Re: Dundee United v Ross County - Tuesday 19th March (7.45pm)

Massive 3 points and closing the gap gives a wee bit hope instead off what defeat would have done.

Showed more fight, urgency & determination I thought. Need the full 90 plus mins doing that in every one of the eight to have a chance.

Siegrist had some big saves, maybe 3 in the 2nd half.

McMullen looked better in the more central role, don't know if confidence is an issue when he gets a chance at goal or if it's a rush of blood tae the heed.

He almost had us click in the last 3rd a few times and would have looked better if Nicky Clark scored the 1 on 1. Easy to say he should have dinked it but on another night it'd have gone through the keeper legs.

I don't really think any should be singled out really as great or having a bad ain.

It was tactically different and that did the job with more chasing/closing down faster and  aggressively instead of opposition knowing what predictable tactics, line up, formation & style we'd do.

Watson's (I think) hard tackle wipe out early on was lucky to escape a yellow but that's what was needed to let them know they were going to be matched in aggression. I fkn loved that. Connolly too but he got the deserved booking.

Refs have let maist teams, especially ICT, County, Dunfermline & Partick but maist in general away with being hard tackling & very aggressive against us to their advantage.
We can do this even better and mair consistently to opposition and nulify that advantage. Sometimes fighting for eachother and the cause is the catalyst to improving the rest of yer game.

I don't see them strolling the last 8 games.

They have Alloa(A), us(H), Dunfermline(H), Partick(H), Ayr Utd(A), QTS(H) & Falkirk(A) last match and an away fixture at ICT still TBC.

Currently out of that QTS(H) looks like 3 pts but hard to call the rest.

Thanks bowers, but is she no' part of the problem, it seems to me that this mob (her included) have all been culpable in the amateur output over the years and are content with the abysmal output they provide, isn't it funny that they seemed to have sat on their hands for the last ten or more years thinking this will do them? if I was part of the new team, I'd be asking "why haven't you made any progress in all this time?" and "What are we actually paying you for , when you can't provide a supposedly professional service Also I still haven't seen an apology on any social media platform after yet another appalling  offering tonight (standard customer service, don't mention it and it will go away, and never say sorry ,it's a sign of guilt) they seem to think because we're fans we should just be happy that they provide any sort of service, maybe it's time the new boys had a wee look at what the full time media team actually do.

I was hoping somebody had a way of getting in touch with Mr Brannigan or Ashgar, somebody who wasn't part of the old regime, and could see things from a business point of view, instead of Mr Rice who thinks it's funny when someone fucks up and laughs about it being a technical glitch or human error, when fans get frustrated by missing out.

I really hope there is someone from the new regime looking in, if there is please P|M me to discuss this abomination further, thanks.

I do agree the overall quality of Arabzone is horrendous.

Re: Dundee United v Ross County - Tuesday 19th March (7.45pm)

Believe it or not, I actually enjoyed the game,no just coz we won, but I actually thought we played well tonight, some really good moves and cracking coarner in fae McMullan for Butch's haeder for the goal.

Really great to see a fighting spirit, and wonder whar we'd be if there was mare oe it. Can ye believe we held onto a 1 goal lead for ecthy-oad minutes?

Coonty tried their usual hammerthrowing sh1te be we rose beyond it. A wee bit oe playin them at their ain gehm for a cheenge. That wee b@stard No.14 think it was kicking Robson in the haed. He was hae'in a go at Robson aboot it efter the Final Whistle. Little sh1tebag.

Disappointed when Pawleet didna score, Dinna think he had a lot oe the ba if I'm honest before he went aff. Seekener when Clark didna score fae the 1 on 1 in the 2nd half.

Negatives there were a few, loose pases and clearances cost us a a lot of possession. We sat too deep in the 2nd half allowing them to have free reign in their own half and in the centre of the pitch, waiting for them to approach our box before challenging. That was frustrating. eg. when our back 4 had the ba, Coonty forwards were on them, but when their back line had the ba, we were hardly near them.

Didna think Dross County offered an awful lot, not many attempts on goal. If nothing else, this was a kick up right up the @rse inta their confidence.

MOTM for me McMullan, still think Nesbitt woulda been better on, but fair play to Robson.

Re: Dundee United v Ross County - Tuesday 19th March (7.45pm)

We got horsed in about them, scored early and defended the game out, 3 points in the bag......result and don’t care about the pretty, wins count.

Oh and we got in and mixed it with those hammer throwers, about time !

That fumble by Siegrest at the death...fuck me!

Very lucky that our player was more alert than the County player.

None of his saves were anything other than you would expect him to make I confirmed what I saw at game at least 2/3 fumbles incl. the odd tip over. Astounded RN did not bring in a new first choice keeper in Jan. We definitely need one in July. 6ft 5 when stationery 5ft 6 when he jumps.

We looked more in control than it felt but this holding on to 1 nil ain't going to wash for the next 8 games. Attack and win 3-2 please.
