The Ogren's have paid off the secured loan of 500k to Hugh Drummond Duncan. Tannadice is under club ownership again. Gussie will be next.

It's a pity we had to go cap in hand to the likes of Hugh Duncan due to the way the club was run by the previous board in the first place.

Couldn't agree more mate. To make money you have to invest in the right areas, ST didn't do that, he expected us to churn youth product after youth product that he could sell off to keep the lights on.
It never works as you will have a few years where the quality players aren't there, Ajax have shown this. Years they struggled, then the conveyor belt started to produce quality players again.
From what I can see with the Ogren's they are looking at multiple avenues on which the club can generate money, getting rid of Nike (Pro Sports) is a starter, with Nike, the club made £8 from a £40 shirt sale. Idiocy agreeing that sort of deal. It may take a couple of years, even if we get promoted this year before we start seeing the benefits of the Ogren's investment.

Oh I knew all about Thompson's plans when he was at tannadice. Was never going to work, the whole plan from the team down to kits and catering etc.
Ogren is doing well so far.

Unless I'm much mistaken secure debt has become unsecured debt (to a lender who effectively controls the companies assets)
Nothing wrong with this as such but hardly a cause for celebration/
dancing on the streets etc
