Minutes applause in fact. Sensible.

is it?
Sad that people cannae be fucking trusted to stay quiet for 60 seconds of their life though.

A minutes applause should signal the 'celebration' of a life long lived, not IMO of a young lad who died so tragically.

Re: Scotland V's England

Tin hat on here but I don't think there should be a minutes applause or silence.

Fair enough everyone's entitled to their opinion.

I would much rather pay a wee bit of respect towards a young man who tragically died at a Scotland game than say for instance a minutes silence for the Queen Mother or some other Establishment figure.

Might give his family a wee tiny crumb of comfort also.

Re: Scotland V's England

Genuinely no idea what the team is likely to be tomorrow.  Seemingly Brown and a couple of others asked to be rested/put on the bench.

Re: Scotland V's England

If we win tomorrow there's a chance we go into next weeks World Cup draw in Pot 2.

Lose or draw stay in Pot 3.

Apparently.

Re: Scotland V's England

Well if that's the case then I'd be telling Broony and anyone else who's thinking of sitting this one out to horse on if i was Strachan, my only concern if i was him or anyone else,  would be dinnae get yerself sent off as it will carry suspension albeit to a game against Gibraltar. Generally the referee will give you the benefit of the doubt in these games unless you raise yer mitts or dish oot a glesgae kiss. I'm going to miss this one but looking forward to the reports on here before i get the chance to speak to the lucky bastards that are going. C'mon Scotland a victory over these cunts would remove a stitch from the wound

Re: Scotland V's England

England looking sharp, but bar the goal we are doing ok. Keeping our shape, decent build up and some good move. Struggling a bit with the set pieces, England better in the air.

Get Russell on

The presenter Raman is torture.

Well done, good game to make your debut, pity the score couldn't be better.

Re: Scotland V's England

Gave away possession far too easily. Thought Naismith was poor the night.

Should've had May and Russell on fae the start. You could see the difference when each of them came on. Not to mention Russell's assist for the goal.

1st goal Hanleys's fault. He didna even try for the ball. Result was Strachan's fault. Scotland in disguise right enough. If you compare it we Friday night.

Re: Scotland V's England

England knew what they were doing tonight pressing us high up the park.

Darren Fletcher really needs to go somewhere else to get 1st team football either on loan or permanent. He is miles off the pace.

Strachan needs to solve the quandry of having Naismith and Maloney in the same team. One has to play wide if we play with a no9. Maloney has the skill but not the legs, Naismith is the opposite.

Chris Martin should be quietly moved to a field to tow caravans for the rest of his days or failing that, the glue factory.

Johnny Russell was very good.

Andy Robertson was at fault for the first, unlucky for the 2nd. Superb going forwards though. Ok otherwise defensively.

Re: Scotland V's England

Good to see Robertson getting a bit of a trademark goal, and also to see Russell well involved in it too. Helps add to the clubs reputation.

Just a bit flat after Friday and half time changes like that are never going to help. Probably should have started with one or two more changes in the first place.

Re: Scotland V's England

Johnny Russell looks born to play for Scotland.

Unleash him against Gibraltar and he will get us the goals the team lacks.

Re: Scotland V's England

England controlled the game start to finish, no complaints. Friday was far bigger.

Re: Scotland V's England

Bit of a lesson handed out, they looked like they wanted it more which was surprising  , the class of Clyne, Wilshere ,Chamberlain and Rooney shined through. Wilshere gave Brown and Mulgrew the run around.

A country with 10 times the population is always gonna have that more scope to pick from but Scotland need to accept they took the points from the important game while last night was a friendly.

Team still polluted with players who are not Scottish or have not played in Scotland. Only 2 players yesterday play in Scotland currently -one got the hook at half-time cause he was getting a doing. The second should have been sent off for the intentional fore arm smash which led to the free-kick for the second goal-then he got moved back to centre half because he too was getting a doing.
