Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

Poor stuff again. Well done to Nicky Clark made a big difference when he came on and scored the winner.

Passing, movement and overall performance way below what is needed. However massive result and finally the other teams all lose. Hopefully they start to trip up and we improve.

We can still do this , need more quality in though and especially some height in attack.

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

Just glad for the 3 points today. Could see at the end how much it meant for the players, hope this is the turning point for our season, especially with the others dropping points in recent weeks.

Thought once again we were poor in the first half, matty smith doesnt offer much at all.  Better second half but still lacking creativity, need a new right back aswell, murdoch was murder.

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

We were a lot better with rab c and clark but even then not amazing. Safranko had a bunch of amazing touches but the other forward players were so far away from him - or not on the same level, it hardly paid off.

We seemed to have nothing in the middle.

Our attacking was so slow....Maybe a confidence thing.

On a side note - is benji going to be ok for the next few matches? Never good seeing a keeper holding his hand

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

that was Benjis best game for us looked composed but lets be honest he is a fucking snowflake really

cant remeber him having anything to do really, 1 close in save in the 1st half . Did Dunf have a shot in the 2nd half?
One poor kick in the 1st half but overall a 2nd good performace in a row for Siegrist

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

Agree we fowk. 1st half was dull as phuck. Didna look like any oe the twa teams were gonna score. Had the makings oe a 0-0 drah written ah our it. Matty Smith was struggling the 1st half and wasna surprised to see him get hooked at the break. Saw somedy come and speak to Nesbitt during the break and he started his warm-up.

The 2nd half was marginally better, but nothing to shout about. When Murdoch did his faux-pas chip back to the keeper, Eh thought we were gonners. Good joab the boy tripped up, and the keeper was able to clear.

Great goal, was it Clark himsell that tipped the ba back to Nesbitt, before he hit it ? Eh thought it was a shot fae Nesbitt, but the haeder fae Clark made sure the keeper couldna get it. Cracking goal like. Halle-phuckin-lujah!

Great to see us, for a cheenge, get an advantage when rivals get beat. Just a pity that b@stardin goal got disallowed last week.

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

Noticed Crawford saying that he set his team up to disrupt Fyvie and Stanton - not the first to do this lately and from what I'm hearing it worked again.

Consequence of lack of depth/quality in our squad -we're way too predictable and other managers have sussed us out.

Hopefully January's window sort this - it needs to.

The obvious answer is to drop the 2 of them they have both been very poor recently. Fyvie unfit and poor and Stanton anonymous and poor. Gomis and Harkins as 2 holdings v Ayr???

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

I think Stanton has been one our best players recently. Always wants the ball and is our only midfield who can really drive forward and break lines. Fyvie still getting there fitness-wise but maybe another body in there (Gomis or this new boy Harkes) for some games will help them both out.

It was the presence of mind with the quick free kick caught them out, great finish from Clark. We might play better and lose, but it'll be nice when we do play better.
