Nesbitt can play as a winger

Was more about tek saying he think it might be 433, but seems he would like smith actually in the 3 in midfield not 3 forward

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

Could it be 3-4-3?

Seigrest

Watson
Bouhenna
Frans

Aird
Fyvie/Gomis
Stanton
Booth

Smith
Safranko
Nesbitt

Edit to say the prospect of Watson and Aird against Ayr Utd and McDaid gives me the fear. Ideally,  replacements needed for one or both.

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

So McNamara now involved with Dunfermline.  Will he be at Tannadice tomorrow?  What do you reckon his reception would be?

If there, I'd like to think we just ignore him.

Certainly, my newly formed supporters group will be doing just that.

Subs - Siegrest, Nesbitt, Gomis, Loemba

Tek surprised you have McMullan starting ahead of Nesbitt, surely after the impact Nesbitt made when he came on he deserves to start in the first half annihilation of McNamaras boys

Just not sure how match fit the boy is at the mo RMS. The lad hasn't played much football recently.

Just thought he might be a better option from the bench for tomorrow. But we shall see what Robbie Neilson thinks tomorrow afternoon.

Fair comment. Think I'd risk him to start, look to get the game well in our favour and swap them then. Like you say it's gonna be very interesting to see who Robbie selects to start.

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

Massive game tomorrow.

Fantastic spending in window but if gap gets too big we can’t win the title.

I don’t know enough about Nesbit. Apart from King who do we have as likely left winger.

I expect could be the usual 4-2-3-1. Might play Gomis and push Stanton forward. Cammy Smith has to start.

Should see more of the kind of formation or style RN is wanting to play tomorrow - he is buying a lot of midfielders

Come on United. Let’s get the win!

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

It's been a while since I got a prediction right.
I think the last one was that me and the missus would definitely divorce

But Rise with Robbie Mkii will start tomorrow

2-0 Safranko Nesbitt

McNamara hit in face with pie drama

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

Absolutely fucking massive, honking performance-however 3 points closer all im giving a fuck about.

Nicky Clark could be the difference the amount of goals he scores from 6 yard box is incredible and we’ve missed im hugely, Get gomis smith harkes and nesbitt up to scratch and a right back and another winger, well be laughing imo

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

Honking game, we were pish poor for the vast majority of it, however when you are playing shite and still win then that’s a decent sign.

Thought we were so one paced it was easy for them to defend against. Murdoch crocked himself with maybe the worst first touch I’ve seen at Tannadice meaning his second was a tackle.

Hopefully another 2-3 signings before we meet Ayr away.

Anyway onto the cup and off to the Mo next week!

Re: Dundee Utd V Dunfermline

Thought it was gonna be another bottle-job with Ayr and County losing, thankfully not. Won’t be the last time they’ll drop points either, this league is there for someone to take by the scruff of the neck if they go on a run.

We need to get more in though, too many players out there that simply can’t do the basics, our full backs offer nothing going forward, which puts pressure on everyone else, and our midfield is nowhere near incisive enough, looking forward to seeing what the American boy brings, as Stanton and Fyvie let too much go through them. Say what you want about Aird’s overall contribution, but we badly missed his delivery today. Having Safranko wide right was a ridiculous decision, left us with no threat in the box at all.

A positive weekend on the results front, but we need to be much, much better than that if we want to win this league.
